I voted ‘out’ but I argued from ballot day that it was never going to happen.
The EU is the number one shining icon of the god called Globalism. The elites were never going to let the sheep decide things.
I said they would fudge, smokescreen, bury it under legal law and bills and counter bills.
QED. You can’t stop Cthulhu once he starts striding to the left. Not going to happen.
May heads to Brussels after EU vote loss
Theresa May is due at a summit in Brussels, hours after Conservative rebels in the Commons defeated the government in a key Brexit vote.
MPs backed an amendment giving them a legal guarantee of a vote on the final Brexit deal struck with Brussels.
One rebel, Stephen Hammond, was sacked by the prime minister as a party vice chairman in the aftermath of the vote.
Other EU member states could decide to move forward to trade talks with the UK at their two-day summit.
The negotiations are first expected to focus on agreeing a temporary arrangement that will begin as soon as the UK leaves the EU in March 2019.On the eve of the summit, Mrs May suffered her first Commons defeat as prime minister by just four votes, as MPs backed an amendment to the EU Withdrawal Bill by 309 to 305.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said it was a “humiliating loss of authority” for the prime minister.Media captionIs it game over for Brexit?
Unless it is overturned by the government at a later stage, it means MPs will get to vote on the final deal reached with Brussels before it is ratified.
The government had previously offered a vote. But critics wanted a guarantee that this would be “meaningful”, claiming the bill gave ministers the power to bypass Parliament in implementing the withdrawal agreement.
Dominic Grieve MP, who tabled the amendment, said the bill “couldn’t be allowed to stay in the condition it was in”.The former attorney general, told BBC Two’s Newsnight: “The right thing is carrying out Brexit in an orderly, sensible way, which has a proper process to it.”
He said Parliament’s ability to interfere with Brexit negotiations was “limited”, adding: “I’ve been studious in not trying to interfere with the government’s negotiating strategy, I’ve hardly asked a question.”Media caption”I’m in parliament to do my duty by my constituents and by my country” said Tory rebel Dominic Grieve
And speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, former transport minister Mr Hammond denied the prime minister had been undermined by the vote.
“I think, frankly, last night was avoidable and there is dismay on all sides that it got to where it did,” he added.
Asked about calls from fellow Tory MPs to deselect rebels, he said: “I make it a cardinal rule not to be rude about my colleagues in public and I’m not going to start now.”The government said in a statement: “We are disappointed that Parliament has voted for this amendment despite the strong assurances that we have set out.
“We are as clear as ever that this Bill, and the powers within it, are essential.
“This amendment does not prevent us from preparing our statute book for exit day. We will now determine whether further changes are needed to the Bill to ensure it fulfils its vital purpose.”
Speaking after the vote, ministers said the “minor setback” would not prevent the UK leaving the EU in 2019.It’s turned into a shambles.
I too voted to leave purely because the U.K. is losing its identity through European assimilation.
Plus I suspected we are viewed as a dustbin for the great ‘unwashed masses’ heading to Europe from southern continents.Who knows where this will all lead?

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.
Looking at all of this – it looks like this will increase the chances of a no-deal which is what we want
I think the Remainers have f~~~ed themselves over in the long run

Anonymous42I smell a disappointing coup d’état backed by a global coup. Then a de grâce overthrow destroying BGs’ sovereignty as we all enter the END DAYS, one world government, and the battle of Armageddon.
In the end mankind will become an endangered species among all the atomic ashes and rubble.
Good thing God gave us a heads-up in the prophecies of Revelations!
Carnage, your wishes are about to become granted…

Yes.
Parliament has no right to have any say in the matter.
As far as individual MP’s are concerned, it is interesting in that we can now see exactly who is on the EU payroll, or hopes to be.
That’s why called that election last year. To get the right people in power.

Great. I can still get my eu passport and get discounts on my masters at a posh english university.
I bathe in the tears of single moms.
If we all vote UKIP at the next election, and UKIP came to power, call me naive, but this would be a bloodless revolution, would it not? Afterall, UKIP’s primary agenda is, and always has been to get us out of the EU, has it not?
I’d have hoped UKIP would give us the hard Brexit we voted for (I voted leave to stop the terrible encroachment of globalisation and the loss of national identity) but the cynic in me feels they might be swayed by the gravy train themselves, and keep us in the EU through the back door.
If this government do not give us a clean, hard Brexit, I shall vote for somebody who will at the next election, without doubt. I would take to the streets over this, and I even endorse civil unrest, because complete independence is a cause worth fighting for.
UKGTOW.
For those of you whom voted for Brexit, supported the independence movement in Catalonia, and Greece, get out of the UK and Europe while you still can. With the announcement of the formation of a EU military lead by unelected bureaucrats, the EU is going full fascist. This military is clearly not meant to defend the EU from outside threats, but to be used to purge and rule over the native populations.
The first ones that will be purged will be the native populations whom voted to leave the EU, or be independent in someway.
Of course the state run media will say the EU military will be attacking “domestic terrorists”.
With you being disarmed there will be no way for you to fight them. It will be a slaughter that the government officials will celebrate by saying you are evil and deserved to die.

It looked feasible until May got elected. Then the truth became clear: the people can vote for what they want all day long, but they have no power to carry it out. If voting made a difference, it wouldn’t be allowed.
Women are better at multitasking? Fucking up several things at once is not multitasking.

Ummmm…. not to change the topic but… With the “Deep State”, the MSM, AntiFa, and all of the gutless RINOS in Congress, isn’t the same thing going on here in the US? The will of the people is nothing. I keep voting for the skunks who promise the future, and they keep winning. Then, they just squirt on us. It has been a year, and still no changes. “The Swamp” is deeper than ever.
I think the sad fact is, there is already a world government, and nobody but they know it is real. I think it will not be long till we see folks around the world waking up. Gods, I hope it is not too late.
Sorry to interrupt the thread, but this seemed relevant. I now return you to your regular programming.

Anonymous1I’ve never been to Europe, but the EU seemed like a bad idea. I mean European Countries have been fighting over borders and identity for centuries. Independence wasn’t just worth fighting for, it was worth dying for.
Now suddenly because of the magic of Globalism, that just goes away and everybody amalgamates into the European Union. I don’t believe it. Blood is thicker than water.
What did they fight WWI and WWII for?
Just to hand their countries over?
