Like I said, I used to let them in close and give them a lot of freedom and leeway while we were together. But if things got bad enough that I was willing to chew off my own arm to escape, then I chucked them out and I cut them out of my life for good.

I did two marriages of ten years each, two divorces, and lots of LTRs in the intervening years. I figured that I’ve put in enough years on the hamster wheel, and it’s time to make my life about me and what I want. So now I’ve been a couple years without a woman, and I’m happy and productive doing my own thing.

There will probably be more women at some point in the future. Never say never, and all that. At my age, the women practically throw themselves at any guy who is at all presentable. But if I ever bother with women again, I’m going to set the bar pretty f~~~ing high. I’ll have personal boundaries of concrete, like a bunker.

So many people will say buy a stock at $100, watch it go to $80, and then hold on just hoping to get back to $100. Instead, they should look at the stock at $80 and ask where it is going from there. As far as boundaries go, I understand what you are saying completely. My problem is I’m too nice of a guy and tend to get taken advantage of sometimes. That said, I’m not going to change who I am at my core just because other people suck. I’ll be nice until I get burned, and then I’m done. But I can still lay my head down at night and sleep like a baby. How some user asshole sleeps at night is beyond me, but that’s their problem.

Which probably explains all anti-anxiety meds that so many women take.

The investment analogy was good. I just wanted to play around with the boundary idea, because it was kind of what the video was talking about: Use values to set your boundaries high, and be quick to eject the woman when she f~~~s up.

Like I said, I used to let the woman in close, gave her a lot of chances, then agonized over how far I was supposed to let things go before I finally cut her loose. I would have done better (and slept better) if I had been quicker on the eject button.

There’s no shortage of skilled IT workers. That’s a lie oft repeated to congress while begging for more H1-B visas. The truth is there’s a shortage of IT workers in the high cost of living U.S. willing to work for low cost of living Indian wages.

A leopard does not change its spots. If you stick your hand in a fire and get burned, why the f~~~ would you keep sticking your hand in that same fire?

And besides, it’s only applying to women the same standard they apply to men. If a woman appears to be giving a man a “second chance”, as they often do after monkey branching away for several years, it is always as a result of change circumstances, never about him. She finds that he has resources she wants or that she can no longer get elsewhere and so suddenly she’s back “giving him a second chance”. She’s not interested in him. She just interested in things he could give her.

But are you interested in whatever she might have to offer you? You certainly aren’t interested in any resources she might generate (as if she’d even offeer you access to them – what’s yours is hers and what’s hers is hers). Does she have anything on offer other than her ever depreciating vagina and ever increasing demands? Not hardly. If it wasn’t good enough for you then, it sure as f~~~ shouldn’t be good enough for you now.

One chance, per chick, per lifetime. No exceptions.
