I logged on 2 days ago. Continued to comment on topics that are relevant to me. Never logged out.

Today I wrote a post. I was autologged out. So it’s now gone. I spent an hour thinking of the precise words to express the prose. Reviewing and drafting to get the thought across. The port is gone into the mist. Because 30 minutes into me writing. I got logged out. So the post might as well not exist. I couldn’t copy then paste it when re-logged in.

I try to remember to login at the beginning of each day/session so it doesn’t happen anymore.

So far, no problem, but I don’t always login each time.

This happened to me hundreds of times in my 10 k post history.

But Firefox is the browser that “pretends” to have lost it all and when you log-in and use the back button in the tab, you will see your raw post. Then you can send it again. But during the process, never close that tab…

(I once used a machine that would occasionally crash with a blue screen… And after reboot and Firefox “session restore” my post was still there)

Chrome always forgot my post.

Second remedy is:

Writing your post as usual and before sending it, go

Ctrl + A “Mark all text”

followed by

Ctrl + C “Copy it into the copy/paste buffer”

And when something goes wrong, you still have all of it in your memory and you can then paste / rescue it into a .txt, open office or MS word document.

3rd remedy:

Use an office application to prepare your post and then copy/paste it into the forum text field.

Firefox Quantum under Win 7 64 does that correctly after you logged in.

Like: Your post “hits the wall”, you hit “back” and all seems lost…

Then you log in and hit back again… Your post is there.

But I always have to log-in to make my lost post visible again.

Now you have to become an “Android” post rescue expert.

Maybe there are plug-ins and additional softwares out there to aid you in avoiding this problem.

Like some office application or text editor.

I would use a normal PC and Google to search for Android remedies, Apps and plug-ins.

I am not “fit” in Android yet.

But I am sure that Android also has some kind of “copy/paste” memory buffer.

If its a longer post write it an a word document initially – then copy and paste it into the forum.

Yeah. First it was normal that you’d get booted after 48 hours. Then it was up to you to log out, if you didn’t, you’d be logged in forever (just the way I like it), and now we’re back to 48 hours, or even random (and way less) hours of getting booted. It’s always a surprise!

The “logging out” problem was probably caused by those “elite hackers” who “took over” MGTOW earlier this month and sent all of those messages to everyone about how they had Keymaster locked up in their basement and all the other well-known MGTOW guys were only inches away from death.

I guess we were lucky we managed to get away with only having our posts temporarily lost.

That was their intention to have us think this way. These trolls simply exploited a normal functionality of the WordPress forum system.

If the trolls had had any control over the site, then they would have taken it down in seconds.

In this case, KM would have his daily backups, so I hope.

There was no real safety problem with this site here.

Nothing except maybe DNS attacks…

(artificially creating traffic that overloads the server and makes the site appear to be down)

Well you could if you wrote up your content in an external word processor like Notepad++, Word, Open Office or any other of the many word processing programs out there. Then…

1. Focus/Select your word processor.
2. Ctrl+A (Select All)
3. Ctrl+C (Copy)
4. Open browser.
5. Log into mgtow.com
6. Start new thread.
7. Ctrl+V (Paste)
8. Click submit.

DO NOT give computers a chance to f~~~ you over, because THEY WILL!

I sent a list of potential remedies to KM that will not reduce the user experience too much.

But I guess that needs time to implement and maybe costs money.

For the time being we just need to be aware and try to ignore such disturbances.

And never PM a troll, because then “it” can reply and bombard you with s~~~.

And shut off the “Member x is following you” notification in our own profile settings.

Just uncheck the bottom checkbox in the “Web notifications” menu.

– “Profile settings”
– “Privacy”
– and change the drop-down menu to:

“Only People I follow”

And make sure that you follow all of your real friends and communication partners too.
