IMHO even 100k will be an affordable price considering the long run. What you said about a military model, soon as these robots start selling like water in the desert, for sure we will have firefighters that are robots due to the fact that they can expose themselves to higher risks, and for sure, some soldiers will be robots too, you can turn one of these into a robot for your home.

Computationally speaking, if the robot is capable of having sex, it proves the motor coordination and processing capacity to execute tasks enough to extend to other simple things, like cleaning and cooking.

If it can detect a dick, understand the command to suck it and do the job right. It can detect a bread, and do all the other operations to turn it into a sandwich.

I just can’t see a robot solving the companionship problem. Not unless the robot frees up other men from their relationships to come hang out with you more often.

Overall, I don’t see it as a replacement for sex, at least not for several decades. I just don’t think we can replicate the motions and desirable parts of a woman’s personality well enough to make a difference. I wouldn’t think it would be that different from porn and sex toys overall. Besides that, robots are not going to be the only improvements in the artificial sex market. I would think AR and VR would come closer to the real thing (maybe with a robot) faster than straight up robots would.

And I don’t think women are going to respond to this with improved behavior. Their response to challenges to their role in society has always been to shame it, they will not seek to compete or even admit defeat.

In terms of sexbots, I suppose you can see it as a buzzkill. However, I just don’t see the grass greener on the other side. I think the grass can be pretty damn green with what we have right now. It kind of makes me wonder if there are patents in the way that are stopping innovation. It’s the only reason why I see that right now we are so far behind such simple solutions that have been pioneered by companies like Disney years ago.

Again, I think there is either something going wrong, or These people who make these robots are being held back in some way.

Honestly, it seems like the best companies to make robots that look human should be companys like Acumed that make artificial limbs and prosthetics. Yes they are Expensive, but they are a pretty small scale medical portion of the industry. These guys would know a thing or two on how to make full scale replacement body parts that are indistinguishable from the real thing.

Sadly, Most of the innovation that we HAVE SEEN comes out of China, and the orient.

And just about EVERY SINGLE ROBOT RESEARCH CENTER IS HEADED BY WOMEN NOW AT THE UNIVERSITIES.

Japan seems to be the one place that seems to know how to make somewhat lifelike robots.. But then that due to Japanese women facial characteristics being almost lifeless as well.

Right now, with Computer graphics able to do things like this in real time render, that’s pretty damn cool.

And that voice already has been taken care of. Say you like the voice your ex had, but you hate her now, or you want to recreate her, and her face, etc digitally, that is possible today. Same things with family that you lost during a divorce.

Having an A.I. version of them CAN be done within the next 5 years.

Also, since we can Manipulate color and pixels, Doing this with skin on the face would be preferable compared to actually moving the skin or making facial muscles. .. Hmm. Better make a patent for that. 🙂

Right now, the best that has been done with simple mirrors is something like this:

Now here we have CLOSE to what this tech could be. This face is solid. But adding a real dolls face, with this tech could mean the solution for facial expressions and cheap cost.

With the current tech, it’s actually pretty simple to make skin that contracts over a face. But as you can see, there really is not that much facial movement to the male doll.

As far as the walking… That is going to be the next big thing to make it into our homes and be closer to replacing women all together.

And of course.. F~~~ING TOYOTA… Yes they make great engines.. But they also made this.

in Less than 3 years time, we can have a fully capable female robot that is able to have all the grace of a woman as long as you keep her wearing a dress till robotic walking is perfected.

THe dress would cover up the heavy unit bellow, and would stabilize the unit so that the top body parts could be free to create the seamless motion of her legs. Basicly giving her solid ground around the house so she can move around with no problems with the legs being able to simulate her walking while the platform underneath would provide all the flexibility need. And a great place to put a large flat heavy battery pack for around the home chores.

However, most of the time, if she was doing housework, you would never notice since the item the robot female would be using would be also used to maintain its balance and poise.

Oddly, using a hula hoop while doing this is more possible then walking today. How odd right?

Another thing that is odd, is that a robot would be better for dancing then walking with current tech.
