I work with a 7 out of 10, gym bunny, 33 year old woman who has just married another woman after dating her for 18 months. I don’t think this has anything to do with it, but the woman she married owns several houses and has a high paid job.

I had no idea the woman I work with was even into women but apparently she has been bi for a while. I think its got an element of retaliation to it. She can’t accept her inability to garner commitment, so she shows herself and others that that (male commitment) was never her thing anyway – she is going her own way, doesn’t need them, doesn’t want them.

Its delusion, but its hamster-based delusion, designed to avoid any sniff of rejection.

This is 4 years old, but still seems relevant.

I think it’s a win-win for them, at least in their minds. They mostly want attention and security. They can get some security from another woman, but probably not a lot of attention. The attention would still come from other men who are curious in her bisexuality. If it doesn’t work out, then she can still get that ‘bisexual curiosity’ effect in other men, plus the sympathy of being the girl who no man loved and needs to be rescued.

Obviously, this wouldn’t work for men because we are actually physically attracted to women (not for attention and resources), women never sympathize with men, and male bisexuality never attracts attention.
