The law in California.

To give you background, my first wife married me when I was entering the second year of medical school. This was 1982 when the feminists of 1970 were feeling their oats and getting whatever they wanted from the government.

My ex wife told me that she deserved half my earnings for life because she was married to me through med school.

What wishful thinking.

The law about college expenses and marriage in California is that, if you are married during school, the spouse working is to be paid back the cost of tuition during the time of the marriage. Since I took student loans because my ex wife refused to work, I didn’t owe her a dime.

Except a small alimony for 3 years, I got off scott free.

My second marriage that involved a custody dispute took 14 years to settle and nearly ruined my life.

I have known a few women who do course after course without ever actually working in their studied field. One in particular studied Psychology a very limited field to find work in then decided to do a law degree also very hard to find work in. So she has huge debts, 2 useless degrees.

So what does she do for work now? She works in Childcare. She could have saved herself a fortune and just got the job in childcare to begin with.

I wonder how that happens? Oh yeah, because men are told from birth onwards that they have to earn their money. Women, however, are told from the same age (or possibly earlier) that other people’s money is theirs for the taking. She deserves the gesture “just for being her.”

The way I see it, one of two outcomes are going to happen within the next 10-15 years.

1.)A democrat will get in office and forgive the loans as part of their campaign platform. The bill will be footed by me and you.

2.) Economy collapses and their will be a financial reset. While the debt might not be “forgiven” it’s not like the piece of paper has any value and the knowledge cannot be repossessed.

Either way, they are looking at a win. I think the modern croup of students are just going to play the long game, and stay in school doing degree after degree to kick the ball down field. Hoping that one of the two above occur before they enter the real world.

American women CREATED the perfect storm of student debt. They demanded equality in higher education, and went to “Big Daddy Gubmint” for the money to go. As always, “BDG” let them have whatever they wanted, only this time, it was a loan and not a gift. And it was a loan that can’t be erased by bankruptcy. Kinda like income taxes and child support that way (You OWE BDG, you gonna PAY BDG). That’s a dose of reality to which western women are not familiar.

Women took those education loans and than blew them on worthless degrees that got them no job at all, or jobs with little or no money. And, according to the article, women borrowed 14% more to get a 4 year worthless degree than men borrowed to get their degrees in STEM fields that pay. Apparently, women’s crappy money management skills make them a crappy investment even when they are investing in themselves.

And now that women hold 2/3 of the outstanding student loan debt, which they incurred with poor money management skills while getting worthless degrees, they are complaining that men’s median income is higher than women’s median income. If they have their way, they’ll either marry a man and try to manipulate him into paying their loans, or they’ll elect uncle Bernie and he’ll just raise the taxes on men to make up for all those defaulted women’s loans.

I did an Engineering degree, worked nights, weekends and holidays doing jobs including bouncer, barman and singer at a holiday camp, and ended up with about £3k of debt and went straight into an engineering job after graduating.

No f~~~ing sympathy whatsoever for entitled c~~~s who choose crappy courses, f~~~ their way through university, do nothing to help themselves and expect to be given a STEM job or become CEO of a major company because they have t~~~.

An unmentioned element of the perfect storm is fewer and fewer men will be willing to pay them off.
