    I am pretty sure that if you move from state to state. It would require her to re register the alimony from state to state. This would very quickly destroy her financial capacity, the reality is alimony isn’t child support it can be successfully dodged.

    Up here, no such thing, if it goes inter-jurisdictional, the federal law takes over and you get nailed no matter where you go.

    Know when it is your duty to give them zero explanations for your actions.

    Don’t sign an agreement stating you’ll pay alimony. As the payor, it is no longer tax deductible under the current tax cut proposals. I will tell the judge that he can put me in jail, and I’ll lose my job, which would not be in the best interests of the children.
