I do understand getting carried away and being very passionate to make a point…. and perhaps I am conscientious of others to a flaw, but I don’t consider it a flaw. Theres a real part of our hearts in this place and it’s been a long time in the making.

I had to pause MG-Tower’s status until I had the time to go through cleaning out dead animals and p~~~ pictures which I don’t have the time for. We work a full 50 hours elsewhere and any time here is ABOVE that – I am at 80 hours a week ALL YEAR. I’m not the janitor here and won’t play that part because people can’t control themselves to a MINIMUM amount of respect for other members.

We have to realize men arrive here AT THE END OF THEIR ROPES and when a new person has already seen enough horror to have to look at actual crap and pictures of s~~~. We’re here to help each other out! Triklops has reached out and asked to withdraw a couple of posts because he was sorry he made them and we obliged immediately. We all get it and were happy to understand sometimes people make mistakes… but then just don’t post.

If you’re not PROUD of it, and you’re not helping out and encouraging other guys, just exercise a MINIMUM amount of restraint. Posting pictures of gargling cum and condoms and dead animals… it’s not even ONCE or A HUNDRED TIMES. It’s not a “mistake”. It’s like insulting us, cheapening months of work, and cheapens our efforts. It lowers the standards when we’re trying to lift it UP.

Please give the toughest love and hit hard to help a MGTOW out who’s dealing with it – by all means – but there is no value added to a picture of a dead pig or Nancy Pelosi swallowing poison with a funnel.

When an 18 year old kid comes here ON HIS BIRTHDAY and says “hello!!” and new members are greeted like that, it breaks my heart. IN HALF.

This has hollowed me out tonight and now I am gutted that Soulman changed his avatar and looks like he bid us farewell on his own.

Truly sorry. I feel personally attached to you all. Just hollowed out by his departure. It hurts. I will miss him very much.

Oh that one..haha. Yeah well. That was something I posted when I had a little too much to drink and was feeling guilty about something. But the guys (Brain, Tower, Listenup and the rest) helped me out way better than any certified psychologist could. There was nothing wrong with that post but I felt it could be used by feminists to prove how weak some MGTOWs are and I didn’t want that.

I pretty much guessed that Soul Man was leaving seeing the change in his avatar but I hope this rift is just temporary . He is upset but I’m sure he will come back. Hope he does..

That’s very generous of you and caring. We do have other help (I am the best at English though) but we want to not be Nacho Vidals who demand intros and ban people or post a list of “RULES”. That kind of forum shut down because it does not work. I was actually banned from there myself – twice!! – for not TYPING something in my intro that they were looking for – with no warning, or explanation, or even THE MOST BASIC respect for the fact I felt I found a group of guys who understood me.

… and I remember the feeling. Finding a place where I FINALLY belonged to have the door slammed with no word about it. I wasn’t even allowed to read anymore. There was NOTHING – NOTHING – to object to. On no level did I earn that.

I would rather shut the forum down than run a ship like that. We gotta give it more time because generally the level here is very respectable and IMPRESSIVE. We set a new standard already – far above others and even AVFM – and it’s so much more valuable when it runs and moderates itself. I INSIST on as much freedom as possible and it will never be a problem if we just maintain an understanding.

Well fellas, you know this might be a good time to bring up an issue of calming down plain and simply ,because of the current subject matter at hand within this very thread. Whilst I’m sure that not everybody here will be agreeing with me on what I’m about to say based on my own experience: Lately, despite all of even my own odd episodes of getting carried away, I still think I have learned quite important things ever since I signed up here nearly a mere two months ago (and cheers for that, chapeau!!). Now you never guess what that actually might be but frankly it’s: discipline, more rational thinking and yes, how to calm down. No honestly, thinking back I was quite a bit worse in terms of losing my ways before I signed up, believe it or not. And yes, so far it has truly been a precious learning curve for me in that respect as well as in conjunction with understanding everyone’s honest opinions even be they as “lousy” as whatever from time to time and this is something we should also never forget or neglect, simply because all of that can also be regarded as personal character’s growth right..?

Ok, for some of us it might well take a bit longer to grasp this very aspect than for others. Now be that as it may, but giving each other a fair chance in this albeit very diverse group and community (which is still very refreshing, don’t get me wrong here…) I guess it would be vital for the overall minimum respect to one another, because let’s not fool ourselves here, guys: by the time the membership numbers may grow beyond the 10 000 mark or 20 000 mark or even higher, the problems in terms of tolerance and respect are due to be everything but likely to decrease, on the contrary, and despite the likelihood of the odd troll coming in here to stir things up equally is likely to rise the more popular this site and the whole ideology will get, so let’s not forget that either.

So at the end of the day all of of what I’ve written above, it’s all about bringing another core element of MGTOW back into focus which is: self awareness and maybe (just maybe) we can’t start early enough to keep remembering that again and again, since otherwise our very integrity might be endangered.

Just my 2 cents on this one…

I would hate to think too many others were put off and we’re already distracting from Angelus’ original topic….. but MGTOW has a little “dark friction” element to it which I may be unrealistic in thinking should be avoided too. We see some good amount of tension between MGTOW and MAnospherians, but the “can’t we all just get along” mentality is also not recommended.

It’s a feminine value for women to have a problem with one another… and then behave like best friends on the surface. I saw a video by Stardusk on this and he pointed out the negatives of that herd mentality , where a group will AGREE — JUST for the sake of agreeing. We can’t have that either.

But in all other ways of recommended trying to harness OURSELVES instead of each other … you and I are in total agreement. And it is a constant struggle I know. I wish I could see some bitch come here uninvited and not say a f~~~ing word to her. If there is anything I can’t stand is recommending we hold back and then losing my s~~~ myself – when I know I should not.

We all go through it on a daily basis to some degree – maintaining self discipline.
If anyone uncovered the secret to that, do let me know. Thanks again Ned.

Oh I am fully aware of that Key but you see:

A) There once was (just an example here) a new party in Germany only a few years ago which initially skyrocketed from zilch to a very popular party amongst internet driven libertarians and that party was called “the pirates” amongst other suggestion they pledged for liberation of the internet and were against censorship for instance (sorry about digressing here) but guess what ultimately broke their necks after such a very steep and swift upsurge it was various disputes over little power issues amongst lots of party members and I just wouldn’t like to see that same thing happening in here , as quickly as we may gain in popularity (again probably quite unlikely in our case since we don’t need to have any “leader”) and that was my point earlier…

B) I would still like to think that we as men still have distinguished advantage/strength by contrast to women with regards to internal group dynamics in general, because of the very fact that women deep down inside are way more likely to be competitors (and psychological vicious ones at that sometimes) whereas men may on the surface of things attack compare and compete each other whilst being much more able to form a real and truthful albeit not too obvious but proper brotherhood.

 

I know what you say that to achieve this without being viewed as too (on the surface) female, will still be a delicate tightrope walk for all of us, but would it be worth at least a slight effort. I’d say yes…

As far as maintaining a certain amount of self discipline goes (and about the how?) well, I can only speak for myself here but what helps me in that regard every now and again is not taking everything (life women etc.) too seriously and keeping a sense of humor about it all (I know that coming from a German who is hardly supposed to have any sense of humor in the first place cliché wise, but hey…).

I’m guilty of the exact same thing too as it’s too damn hard to not come back at them with something especially for my mouthy never back down ass. I think a woman would just self implode if we all successfully just flat out ignored her. She’ll get obscene and bitchy while we just kick back and laugh. You can then delete the thread once the entertainment is over.

@Ned: I totally agree with your synopsis.

As this site grows, we are going to attract a more diverse crowd. I’ve been here two months too, and it takes a little while to get used to it as you are stepping out of the PC chains that bind you in the real world. I agree there are limits of common decency we should follow, but we can’t personally cater to every ninny out there either otherwise the site would become sterile.
