Anonymous42but character is what you have when you turn your television OFF.
My personality sucks and I’m working on it but the character is hovering somewhere between okay and better than average.
So don’t give me any s~~~, I’m working on it!
Turn off the television like KM, Stealthy, C-Pig, ILA,,,,, f~~~ it, too many members to list.
Just turn the piece of s~~~ off to save your soul!
FROM WIKIPEDIA
Briggs’s daughter, Isabel Briggs Myers, added to her mother’s typological research, which she would progressively take over entirely. Myers graduated first in her class from Swarthmore College in 1919 and wrote a mystery novel, Murder Yet to Come, in 1929 using typological ideas (which won the National Detective Murder Mystery Contest that year). However, neither Myers nor Briggs were formally educated in the discipline of psychology and were self-taught in the field of psychometric testing. So here is a test created by two women who have no education in psychology and ask such idiotic questions like: “Which do you prefer, hard or soft?” and you think it has any useful predictive ability of personality? As I said before, the most schizophrenic patient in our hospital that I encountered even was sane enough to immediately ask “Hard or soft WHAT?”
As Keymaster so aptly stated, it is about as useful as one from some woman’s magazine.

Anonymous11ENTP here. Yes, it is very superficial. Only in the ballpark as we say in the States. Humans are much more complex than 16 boxes. Extreme Js often tend to hate me as if I even give a f~~~ but many like me so that shows you the value of Meyers-Brigg.
I think it’s worth taking for self-reflection purposes. ENTP types need to recognize that what we consider sport debating often gets us tossed from establishments. I’ve an ENTP friend. We go out and sport argue. We love to target SJWs. There’s nothing like arguing pro-2nd amendment and anti-feticide at an SJW establishment. The steam coming out of their ears is funny as hell.
You become what the situation needs. Anyway, took the test for s~~~s and giggles. Turns out I’m an asshole.
Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.
What good does it do for you to know you are a “personality” according to some mumbo-jumbo interpretation of Jung? Here is another more useful approach to your personal problems by Alfred Adler from the same time period as Freud and Jung. This is from the Introduction of Marguerite and Willard Beecher, Beyond Success and Failure: Ways to Self-Reliance and Maturity.
1. That the individual’s approach to life is a result of early self-training due to his interpretation of his situation. He can change it in later years only if he realizes that his disturbing, conditioned responses are nothing more than inappropriate, inadequate holdovers from childhood. The adult is expected to replace such behavior with more useful responses to be a help and not a burden. He should realize it is useless to try to escape the pain he creates for himself trying to solve adult problems with a child’s trick and evasions, since problems are only situations for which we have not trained ourselves.
2. That the problems of behavior, which make us feel and act like inferior second-class passengers in life, are no more than the results of our failure to develop the habit of both emotional and physical self-reliance; we retain from childhood the mistaken expectation that others should “hold up our pants” for us emotionally and physically and be interested in as well as responsible for our welfare.
3. That leaning on others emotionally or physically is a child’s way of life. We should not permit this habit to follow us into adult life, since dependency is the root of all feelings of inferiority. Dependency generates the feeling of second-class citizenship. Out of this grows the habit of competition, envy, making comparisons, and similar mistaken compensatory striving that we create in our effort to assuage the pain of feeling second class in relation to others. Humiliating feelings of inferiority produce the gnawing, distracting, disruptive, destructive craving for personal recognition and prestige, with its inescapable fear of failure.
4. That unhappiness, loneliness, neurotic symptoms, crime and similar distresses arise directly from this unresolved habit of leaning and depending on others whom we immediately feel we must try to control, rule, dominate or exploit for our own benefit, since we cannot otherwise support ourselves physically or emotionally.
5. That only those who are self-reliant emotionally and physically can function as adult human beings able to cooperate with other adults, because life demands we be useful and productive, or as Adler said, to “be a help and not a burden.”
6. That the inadequate responses of envy, greed, competition and sabotage — with which we try to solve confronting problems of life — are only reactions which would not arise in the first place if we were in the habit of standing on our own feet and were not always trying to find someone on whom to lean and exploit, demanding that they prop us up and hold us there.
7. The defects of self-reliance and the inescapable pain that accompanies them can be changed only when we fully realize that the pain we suffer is but the other-end-of-the-stick of our leaning, dependent, subaltern habits of mind. Our problems do not have mysterious, hidden sources, and we do not have to look far or deep to find the source; we keep stumbling, tripping and falling over it all day long, even though we refuse to identify it as our own childishness.
Architect (INTJ-a)
Yes ! I f~~~ing knew it ! Perfect !

“Personality” tests – like any woman – usually ask all the wrong questions to make a good judgement and accurate assessment. I took a personality test once, and apparently I have the same type of (INTJ) “personality” as John F Kennedy.
Make of that what you will.
KM just make sure to not f~~~ around with Federal reserve and drive no convertibles… just saying, we need you KM !
Your personality type is:
Debater (ENTP-a)No big surprise to anyone that follows my posts….
In fact, I consider myself a master debater.
haha, that reminds me of Mr. Tom Leykis who is not only a master debater but also a cunning linguist and amateur gynecologist.
He is also a board licensed interpreter who can interpret women into english.

If Saddam Hussein or Kim Jong Eun of North Korea would have taken this test, would any of you believe it was valid if they scored in the same category as you did?
I can think of stupid quiz questions to categorize people too.
.
1. Would you rather be married to:
a. an ardent feminist woman, or
b. a determined gold-digger2. Would you rather goose:
a. a rhino, or
b. a grizzly bear3. Would you rather be eaten alive by
a. a lion, or
b. a tigerAnd so forth.

I’m not planning to do a fine science-paper worthy in-depth analysis but I just want to analyze basic behavior patterns of a MGTOW (if there are any). More for fun rather than serious research, really.
There are hundreds of millions of people who believe in the Blood Type Personality too, though it also has been shown to have no validity.

Anonymous11One pattern I have noticed as this question has come up repeatedly is the overwhelming dominance of NTs or Rationals among respondents.
We need to go to a mangina board and pose the same question to 20,000 manginas.

That’s a logic leap of faith you did there.
That’s a logic leap of faith you did there.
Not sure what that is supposed to mean, but let’s look at the “logic” of the Myers Briggs.
First, it is a test that was constructed by WOMEN. It is primitive, two-valued thinking. Which do you prefer: Hard or soft? That meaningless question is why I posted the facetious questions above. They are the same idiotic form of asking alternatives, neither of which any sane person would want or do. The sane answer is that the question is absurd. Just because someone puts a question mark at the end of a sentence, that does not mean the it is a rational question or that one has to respond to it. The proper answer to other questions in their tests is: “I DO NOT WANT EITHER CHOICE! You are forcing me into some fixed category that has nothing to do with me!”
There is a 17th category ignored by Myers Briggs, called the scientific oriented thinker, who asks:
What do you mean by the word, label, term, symbol, etc. “X?”
How do you know?
What is the evidence for that?”All of this is covered in Irving J. Lee’s book Language Habits in Human Affairs, Wendell Johnson’s People in Quandaries, and Susan Presby Kodish’s Drive Yourself Sane.
Finally, let me say this: Do not let your supervisor, co-workers, or management know your Myers Briggs category if you took the test and think it is valid. My prior feminist supervisor wanted that information to use as a weapon against us.

Look, I’m no phychologist to know any better I’ve decided to do this mostly for fun even if it doesn’t describe a person in fine detail. You’ll do yourself a favor if you quit being so cynical.
And yeah, best not to give out too much info about yourself to people you don’t trust.
I am not picking on you for bringing this up, so don’t take it wrong and I am not being cynical. I am merely telling you and anyone else who thinks that this test tells them anything about their “personality” is being deceived. In case you are not aware of it, I do have an undergraduate degree in Psychology from a major university in the USA, so I would consider it negligence upon my behalf to not warn people that this test is NOT to be taken seriously.. As Keymaster aptly noted, it is like something out of a woman’s magazine.
However, let’s look at one of the two-valued categories the Myers Briggs proclaim that people are either Introvert or Extrovert.
The test is flawed because there is an “ambivert” and as the steamfitter in our group noted, there also is a “pervert.”
Now let us examine the assignment of traits to the “Either-Or” category. The first question I saw was:
Which do you prefer: Hard OR Soft?
Now suppose the illogical association was made the Hard = Introvert (or any other trait) and Soft = Extrovert, or vice versa. There are NO LOGICAL connections between assigning any attribute to one or the other answer.
Another question was something along the line of:
Which would you rather attend:An Opera, OR
A sporting event.Which opera? Which sporting event. Personally I would not think of attending either, no matter what the content of either. A football game of Clemson versus Wofford? No thanks! An opera by some obscure composer? No thanks! Yet one is supposed to answer that idiotic and illogical question with one or the other answer which then is illogically and idiotically linked to some imagined personality trait that might not be mutually exclusive of its opposite.
Furthermore, with regard to ABO Blood groups and supposed personality or behavior, it has been found that there are now MORE THAN FOUR blood types.
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/02/120223183819.html
It is not a matter of being “cynical” but more that these “tests” falsely give people “labels” that are useless.

Anonymous11My prior feminist supervisor wanted that information to use as a weapon against us.
It figures one would. I remember MB was popular back in the 90s for management purposes. It’s why stealth is the way to roll.
My prior feminist supervisor wanted that information to use as a weapon against us.
It is not often I get to quote myself. There was absolutely no doubt that the feminist supervisor intended to use ANY results of that test against us. That is why I warned all the other employees in our unit to refuse to take it if she could see the results. She used to brag that she fired at least one person on every prior job where she was a supervisor and eventually she managed to do that in our case, though it was not part of my group. Good or great supervisors DEVELOP employees that get promoted or move on to better jobs. She NEVER did that.
