So, I’ve decided to do a bit of science and see if there is any pattern between MGTOW and personality type. In this website right over here: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test you can take a test to see what your personality type is. (note that this is a serious test unlike the crap you find on chic magazines and results are accurate enough to be a bit unsettling). I’ll run this until I have a decent amount of responses and if I find something interesting compared to global data I’ll write a report.

This won’t get much interest I can tell you that. And it’s not because anyone is concerned about answers, or IP addresses, or answering “personal” questions. Personality tests are womanly. Like a superficial “quiz” in a women’s interest magazine.

Because personality can be FAKED and washes off like makeup. Turn on your television, and you will see personalities, famous personalities, and split personalities….. but character is what you have when you turn your television OFF.

“Personality” tests – like any woman – usually ask all the wrong questions to make a good judgement and accurate assessment. I took a personality test once, and apparently I have the same type of (INTJ) “personality” as John F Kennedy.

Make of that what you will.
Still doesn’t tell you anything about my character.

Those Myers-Briggs Personality types are pure nonsense. I once was dragged into a supervisory meeting where we were supposed to take it. I realized it was,as Keymaster says, something out of Cosmopolitan or a woman’s magazine. When the monitor explained it might tell you if you are and introvert or extrovert, the steamfitter sitting in front of me muttered: “They forgot one — a pervert!” Score one for him.

The very first question I saw on the test was: “Which do you prefer, hard or soft.” My response was: “this test was constructed by someone with a deranged mind.” The next time the most schizophrenic patient I knew popped his head into my office, I asked him that question. He was even sane enough to ask: “Hard or soft what?”

After I filled out the test alternating A then B over and over we were told to go into groups according to our result. So I go into this group, and the steamfitter at break accosted me and said “Hey, you don’t belong in that group!” I told him I know it, but I looked up the stuff in the library beforehand to see where people in my profession might go and told him I did not even take the test properly. He and I had a good laugh over the big farce management was pulling on us.

Later, my feminist supervisor wanted our unit to take the that test, and I warned all the people that no way should we give her that information as she would use it as a weapon against us. They all refused, to their credit.

So, Keymaster scores another victory!

A few years ago a friend of mine (who’s a member of this site) went for an interview where they made him do one of these personality tests.

In a room full of canditates they asked if anyone has any questions – my friend put his hand up and said “are we supposed to answer these honestly?”

As far as I’ve tested the test in practice in real life it predicted people’s personalities extremely well.

I usually don’t take these tests because if they are correct, they will only tell me what I already know about myself.
