I am making my last child support payment on the 31st. Pop the champagne cork. I am so glad not to be paying alimony anymore. Lifetime alimony is one of the worst forms of slavery legislated upon mankind. In every case where I have seen a woman getting lifetime alimony, she is shacked up with a guy milking both men.

But get this. My daughter texted earlier this month and said that she is coming to live with me next month because her mom “can’t afford” to support her even though daughter works and pays $500/month in rent. Apparently mom has a new boyfriend, and without my child support payments, she can’t be bothered to take care of her anymore.

    Good for you CPT

I had a surgeon friend in California who went through a divorce. After working 60 hours per week all of his adult life his stay at home wife ran off with a neighbor.
She claimed in court that she was too emotionally upset by the adultery to work again. The court went along with her. My friend lost his house, cars, and pension. His alimony was ordered to continue for 5 years even after he was dead so his ex could also grab any estate he could come up with. His ex of course has no intention of remarrying. She gets income from two beasts of burden. He lives in a one bedroom apartment, but at least has managed to stay out of jail.

    WTF…

There’s a guy at my work who has paid about $100,000 so far on child support to his ex-wife who divorced him after she had been having an affair for years and he almost never gets to see his kids. His ex-wife is also married to the guy she had been having an affair with and he’s rich.

My co-worker currently earns about $400 a month to keep for himself and that’s with working full-time.

I have a few coworkers like this as well…its disgusting. These guys make like 4k bi weekly. The government skims 1/3 of it, another 1000 goes to the ex, and a few hundred ends up going to health insurance because they have to supply health care for their kids, and when they have their kids it doesn’t matter how much they pay in child support…they don’t get any sort of deduction on it even though they house, feed, and entertain their kids some of the time. Additionally just having to pay for another place to live is a huge expense…now as a family “unit” they are paying for a house and an apartment instead of just one roof, which over maybe a 10-15 year period, depending how many years of child support they end up with, just saving the cost of that apartment could have been college for a kid or two and some retirement savings.

They also all ended up losing the house in the divorce, and losing the bulk of, if not all of their retirement savings. They end up career guys in a good job living in s~~~ty apartments barely scraping by to the extent they have a little spending money for themselves, a little spending money to take the kids to do fun things when they have them, or a little to save for retirement but can’t really afford more than 1 or 2 of those options. They’d have literally the same amount of money each week if they never married, never had kids, and just worked a 10 dollar an hour job at walmart or something.

In the end if any guy really wants kids these days despite all the risks, the best bet is to simply never f~~~ing marry, buy a house in your name and your name only, and move to a state with no common law marriage. Its simply moronic to expose yourself to the financial damage a divorce can cause. 10 years of child support if the relationship fails is a hell of a lot less expensive than 10 years of child support plus all the other financial transfers divorce would entitle her to.

Lol @ celebrating $800 more per month after 18 years in the USA.

Sorry but you’re friend has been the systems bitch. It’s evil. It was created by lawyers. And there is only one way to stop it.

I can’t count the guys who never amounted to anything above average or became losers because of child support.

I wonder if this is all part of the system to keep people down. Keep the lower classes in check. Keep labor supply up to keep costs low. A evil economic system all around.

When you have 432 months of payments on two accidents you’re forced forgo real oppurtunity and networking to dress up in a silly degrading white uniform at 50 years old with a “Hi my name is” tag and work at a f~~~ing Bakery from 3:00 AM to 12:00pm for $15.00/hr + overtime and feel lucky to get the extra hour.

$800 per month. F~~~. My income fluctuates by thousands per month and I don’t think twice about it. $800 per month is nothing.

That story is extremely scary and serves to remind men everywhere of what this country has become.

What I don’t understand is WHY NOT FLEE THE COUNTRY? You know the system is evil. You know you don’t stand a chance. WHY STAY? Just leave. Your already saving 100k per year just by calling a shipping company and getting on the plane. You’re being a man. Keeping your integrity. Standing up for whats right. Starving the beast. The list goes on. Why stay and play? Why try to “do what’s right” when what’s right is wrong?

I think I responded to the wrong news story on that one. Sorry.
