A female James Bond is exactly what the franchise needs right now

They tried that once (with a female) in an EXCELLENT film “La Femme Nikita”. The idea that she was a totally disposable was the most terrifying thing about it to her. It wasn’t lapped up by women as an “awesome” female character.

You can’t replace Ripley (Aliens) with a MAN either. It would’t work.

The entire “maternal” relationship to Newt was required to give the fight between her and the Alien Queen a dynamic that could ONLY MAKE SENSE with a female in the lead. “Get away from her, you BITCH!!!”

Would never work with a man.

Jane Bond would only work as a s~~~ty comedy. Like The new Ghostcunsters film which is already the worst trailer in youtube history.

Got that one.
For me personally, that moment when she realized she was totally disposable, and it showed, made the character more realistic. The other was the chameleon aspect of her character, well written, directed, and acted. Sadly I think women in general made too much noise about her being vulnerable.
Everyone is vulnerable to a point, even more so when you have a pistol tapping the back of your head.

I really think that a Jane Bond movie would totally fail. Women watched James Bond in droves. Women want an Alpha male and James Bond is a true Alpha. You put in a Jane Bond women will not bother. They can get their fill of woman lead roles in other ways. Feminine Ghostbusters is a disaster as well as any Marvel movies with a female lead. Women want Alpha Males. Not some fellow c~~~. The only thing women hate more than men is other women.

How the f~~~ does s~~~ like this get greenlighted? Seriously? How can a studio not see this is a bad bad idea?

Men pay to see Bond flicks to imagine themselves as the character. They want to save the world. They want to play with the gadgets. They want to nail the Bond Girls. They don’t go to feel “empowered”. They go for escapist fantasy.

Meanwhile women pay to see Bond flicks to ogle Daniel Craig’s shoulders, abs, and butt. They want to swoon over Pierce Brosnan’s boyish charm. They want to be nailed by Sean Connery’s unrepentantly dismissive sexism. They don’t pay to see James Bond du jour do his thing to feel “empowered”. They pay because James Bond gives them vagina tingles.

Does the studio really think male Bond fans are going to see themselves in a female Bond? Do they think a female Bond will dampen the seats of female Bond fans?

Who the f~~~ do they think is going to pay to see this s~~~? Only hardcore lesbian feminist Bond fans, that’s who. All three of them.

I got every James Bond film on blue ray disc ( I prefer the older ones) but if ever a “Jane Bond” film come out I am not going to watch it and not going to buy it for sure.

Honestly, at this point, it seems too conservative to make a woman the next James Bond. Those feminist are aiming too low, they should make it about James Bond born a guy, now a girl, Jane Bond. Or keep it James Bond, formally Jane Bond or make him/her/it part horse. Centaur Bond and make sure he/she/it are super obese for fat positive.
