The only reason I bought an AR15 was because of the media and all the left wingers saying that they should be banned. I absolutely think it’s one of the best firearms ever made, but I may not own one were it not for all the lunatics who want them to be illegal.
You guys should pay attention to what’s going in Canada right now. AR15s are currently classified ‘RESTRICTED”. That means that it can only be used at a government approved rifle range. The Canadian Liberal government is going to ban the AR15 as an ‘assault weapon’. It’s been said that in Canada, only once has an AR15 ever been used in a crime.
The Liberals also intend to ban the Ruger Mini 14 also. The reason given is because the Mini 14 is a semi-auto that “uses bullets similar to the bullets that the military uses”. I kid you not guys! This is how seriously fu’cked-up things have gotten up here…That is outrageously idiotic. There are no “military bullets” and “civilian bullets”. Holy schit. Wow, the end must be near.
The evil in women’s hearts leaves them no moral bounds as to inhibit them from descending to the lowest levels of darkness to acquire their self entitled desires.
Under the Geneva convention military bullets have to be FMJ. All the niceties of ballistic tips, core bonded mushrooming bullets, partitions and so on are not allowed. So its better to get hit by a “military bullet” but I very much doubt that was what the liberals meant.
A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own

That’s the argument that the Liberals are selling and that’s the argument that the retards are buying! The government is saying that semi-auto only rifles like the AR15 and the Ruger Mini 14 are designed only “to kill people en masse using ammunition specifically intended for the military”. It’s absolutely surreal how bad things have actually become in Canada. But it’s mostly in the eastern half of the country where the problem is. And it’s that the part of the country that solely determines the outcome of the federal elections.
It is why the Western half of the country now wants to separate and form it’s own independent nation. That movement is known as ‘WEXIT’…
(Be aware also that in Canada semi-auto rifles (with only a few rare exceptions) are limited by law to a maximum magazine capacity of ‘five rounds only’)
I bought a cheap elastic waistband holster off ebay from China for around $3 and it appears to fit any compact pistol I could throw at it. Keeps my snub .38 close to my body inside my waistband, and I have the added advantage of being able to fine tune the position better than the holsters made for my specific model, which have a set clip height. I typically carry in higher risk situations where I would be cornered.
When the violence seems too overwhelming, I remind myself it’s just news noise made to generate fear and sell commercials. I’ve not been shot at in years.

And just be thankful that you live somewhere where you’re allowed to be proactive with your own personal security. Here in Canada self defense is practically illegal…
Worse here in the UK. If you defend yourself, you can expect the police to do absolutely everything they can to convict you.
Politicians see it as a slippery slope – if you dare to defend yourself instead of dialling 999 and then obligingly dying while waiting for no-one to turn up, you are obviously the sort of person who is a potential threat – to them.
That’s why a vigilante will always get a heavier jail sentence than a common murderer.Jeez you still have a lot of woods and big pig pens in the UK, shoot shovel shut up, or throw him in the pig pen and evidence gets eaten. Oh he must have been trespassing or drunk and fallen in…
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.
The right to self defense is the right to life.
Both come directly from God. Anyone or anything that tries to take that away from me, well, one of us isn’t walking away from that.

It’s always better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.
I’m astounded how many people are incapable of understanding that simple truth, and yet still get to vote.
I carry as often as I can and have been for many years now. Can’t carry anywhere around my waste though as I carry large framed pistols and I’d never be able to keep my pants up. I have a shoulder rig and carry under my left arm so always have to wear a jacket or shirt to conceal. I think a shoulder holster is more comfortable anyway, especially when sitting down.
Agree- if I want to carry my .45 I’ll have to get a shoulder holster. It pulls my pants down and I look like a middle aged white dude “sagging”. WTF.Do you have a shoulder holster brand/model you can recommend?
What kind of .45 do you have? Is it a 1911? What brand?
While I really liked my 10 mm, I always wanted a .45 ACP, so I figured I’d get a 1911 as I’ve heard so much about them. After owning and shooting my .45 ACP 1911 for a while, I traded in my old 10 mm for a 1911 10 mm. They are expensive, but very nice handguns. Reckon I’ll be a 1911 guy from here on out.I have the Springfield XDS .45 – and love that pistol. I had some issues with jamming b/c there was a chip in the feed tray – sent it back and it cycles beautifully and is really accurate. It is just heavy as hell to wear on my hip.
I’m definitely going to look into the shoulder holsters for it.
CRAZY: That holster in the pic of Dirty Harry is the same holster my dad had! I inherited his .44 and .357 and that exact same leather shoulder holster. I don’t carry those cannons b/c they are so damn huge, but I’m going to dig that thing out this weekend and try it on.
Day 4 carrying the Sig – really enjoying it and hardly know its there.

I bought a “Galco” shoulder rig. It’s called “Miami Classic” style. All leather except the plastic piece that connects the cross in back. Very comfortable. Very simple design. I bought mine from “Midway USA” for a pretty decent price, but you can find Galco holsters everywhere.
A friend of mine recommended Andrews Leather Store. A little more pricy, but I guess they are high quality and can custom make whatever you want. If I ever get another holster, I’ll be buying from them.I have a Galco for one of my other pistols – I think my .38 – its soft suede leather? I have to check. For some reason I don’t use it for that pistol.
The holster for my Sig is a “1790” – love it. I also have a “BlackHawk” Serpa for my .38 that is not an in-the-waist holster and I carry it when hunting or when in the woods screwing off. I like that you have to push a button to get it out of the holster.

Day 4 carrying the Sig – really enjoying it and hardly know its there.Never had any problems with either of my 1911’s until I let them get really dirty. I was seeing how many rounds it took to get them dirty enough to malfunction. Took quite a while for the Springfield. The Dan Wesson 10 mm took less rounds to dirty up and fail to feed, but it has much tighter tolerances. Keep ’em clean and they both run and run with no problems at all. Smooth and accurate.

I used to carry in the waist a long time ago, but the shoulder rig is just so much easier and much more comfortable for me. If you need to take a p~~~ or undue your pants for any reason, the shoulder holster comes in real handy there as opposed to having to jack with an in the pants carry. May even be easier to draw for me as well.
I have a little S&W Airweight .38 Special that I sometimes just put in my front pocket. It’s a nice little snub nose with a shrouded hammer. Surprised the hell out of myself that I could actually hit the steel silhouette from 20 yards away. If it’s just too damn hot to wear a jacket or shirt to conceal my shoulder carry, I drop the little .38 Special in my pocket instead. I prefer the big guns to stop the threat, but a +P .38 Special hollow point should do something to slow them down.
Carrying a concealed gun should be as comfortable as you can possibly make it and should be very natural for you also. You get ready to leave the house, you put your wallet in your pocket, your watch on your wrist, your knife if your pocket and you also put your gun on. It’s just the daily routine.
I’ve practiced and practiced for accuracy at many different distances, but I definitely need to practice drawing. Being able to hit the target with the gun already in your hand is a lot different than having to stand there with your arms at your side, quickly and smoothly draw from your holster and then switch the safety off as you aim, (if your gun has a safety). That should be something that is very natural and easy. The adrenaline will be running through you like lightning if you ever need to draw your gun in a real threat situation. Practice, practice and more practice. That’s what I’ll be doing over the holiday break, hittin’ the range and burnin’ some powder.

I have that same pistol – and do the same – fits in my pocket. I put it in my loose fit jeans back pocket if I’m walking around. Love that gun, but it’s tiny.
I don’t mind shooting it but my son and my buddies say it wants to jump out of their hands b/c the butt only comes down about ring finger with your palm. It is a damn good pistolè!

It is a damn good pistolè!It is a small grip, but still a very good grip, especially for its size. I’ve always used a two handed grip with it, but would like to practice single hand. I practice single hand grip a lot with my big guns and am pretty good both right and left handed. Not as fast, but can still hit the target.
The only handgun I don’t practice much with is the .44 Magnum. That thing is a monster with a trigger so light it’s almost dangerous. It is real fun to shoot though. I should probably practice more with it, but the only reason I don’t is because I never carry it. I mostly always carry the semi autos.

I’m quite thin myself and carry my Sig P365 in a nice appendix holster with a spare mag holder attached. Minimal printing and easy to access and present to target. I carry whenever & wherever I can. God Bless Texas!

Yeah – My hat is off to Texas and especially the elder dude that capped that fker in the Church.
Cheers to you Texans!
Politeness, alertness, and mutual respect to everyone increases in the presence of an open carry gun.
I can understand that there could be times when you might want to open carry but I say make it optional to concealed carry. It makes no sense to me for a state to allow open carry only. Concealed carry should be permitted with open carry as an option…
In my state, anyone who is a 21 year old state resident with no felonies can carry concealed without a license. However, that freedom does not transfer from state to state. In order to legally carry concealed in other states, you have to have a concealed carry license. I’ve had my license for a long time and will always have it.
