    You can change your display name but not your account name.

    Just click on your profile name on the top right hand corner and then click “Edit Profile” > “Display name”.

    Yes, your display name can be anything within reason. Strange characters are not recommended because it may make your posts held back in “pending” , and please don’t use a link, website or email address as your display name. Otherwise feel free.

    What I find interesting is IMO bulletin board formats like this one are generally considered obsolete and are dieing a slow death due to social media FB etc. Usually linked to mods trying to be gods.

    This place defies that trend.
