Agreed 100%. I am glad to say that the taxman has yet to take so much as a farthing from taxing my earnings, and any monies I have paid via sales tax / VAT or other indirect taxation is more than offset by my dole money.

Yeah well said men, I haven’t said much about my situation yet. A proper introduction will be coming soon.
But after my sham of a marriage broke down, I took a ‘career break’, I was actually so depressed after having to petition myself bankrupt. This was due to my ex-wife siphoning my wages, and her general mismanagement of our financial lives. What a chump I was to trust her with our incomes. She was always buying f~~~ing clothes while I grafted for 60-80 hours most weeks.
Although I have worked since for a while, my line of work is so dangerous (education), that I decided to stop working very early in life, having secured a decent pension for life.
I now pay very very little amount of tax every month, as I will not be working again to prop up an economy that hates me (middle aged white man).
I am now saving towards a better future than in the UK, can’t wait to get out – although where to go eh!?
