Besides purchasing the weapons systems, lots of money is wasted on conferences, meetings and training sessions for these same systems that do not work.

It is the same Government cycle of waste and abuse. They are given a budget and have to spend that to get it again the following year. If you save money, then your department is perceived to have not needed it in the first place and it will be cut the next budget cycle to give to another department that ran over budget.

Bait and switch at it’s worse and it is found world wide.

This is what privatisation of government research does.

You either pay for government inefficiency or you pay for private companies price gouging the government.

Nobody in private industry can afford the research, development, and production of high tech just to put it in a store and hope some gov buys the finished product.

Sorry guys your view of how big technology is created is wrong.

The U.S. is like an old Chevy that is being sold for parts at this point. I don’t see many more decades of U.S. being the top dog, you cannot print your way to prosperity, you can only funnel it to the top as the heart of the country continues to collapse.

What would this amount to in badly needed US infrastructure repairs? The money would have been better spent that way. It would have been 108 things checked off that bucket list.

The F35 program is a joke unless you’re latched onto the teet.
