I’m pretty much just going to cut and paste what I put in my profile. I’m a slave to Jesus. 28 years old. From Mississippi, but currently residing in Texas, Voluntaryist. Bachelor. Optimist. Student. Friend. Blue-collar worker. US Air Force veteran.

In all that I do and all that I am, the thing that I want most in this world is to better myself and help bring others up to help them be happy along the way. I’m glad to find a group of men who are banding together to help each other stay strong and independent, which I think men are really starting to lose these days.

I’ve never been married and have no kids. I’ve never really felt that type of connection with anyone. I’m a dedicated follower of Christ, and I want to try and please him in everything I do. He definitely comes first in my life.

I work for the VA as a custodian at the moment while I’m going back to school. It’s not the most respectable or ideal job in the world, but it pays the bills and gives me enough to be comfortable and keep a roof over my head. I don’t drink or do drugs, but I don’t care if other people do. It’s their own body and own personal choice. I’ve got kind of a rough past, but it’s all behind me now because I know that Christ died on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins. I have some really great friends these days and I love all of them very much. I’m not trying to be prideful, but I feel that I am a very loyal friend. I like to help people any way that I can. I try to always take the golden rule to heart, love my neighbors as myself and treat others the way I want to be treated.

I’m a veracious reader. I like to read books on Christian living and spirituality, philosophy, and a little bit of biographical and fiction stuff. I love music. I listen to Christian contemporary, like Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman, more than anything else these days. But I also really like folk, Americana, blues, classic country, and alt-country. Todd Snider, Chris Knight, and Ryan Bingham are among my favorite. I collect vinyl records. I really try to watch what I eat these days, but my favorite food is soul food and southern type cuisine. Sweet tea is my favorite thing to drink. I really enjoy nature and like to immerse myself in it. God’s creations are all beautiful. I also enjoy shooting handguns, rifles, and shotguns. I like to hunt (turkey, dove, and quail mostly), fish, and shoot sporting clays when I have time. I am a very avid pocket knife collector as well! Almost all Case brand knives. I would love to talk to any other collectors out there, as this is my favorite hobby.

That’s probably too much about myself. I know y’all probably aren’t that interested, but this is just a little bit about myself. I am really looking forward to making some great friends on here and I’m looking forward to talking to some of you men. Give me a shout if you want to talk. The pleasure is all mine!

Also, can someone tell me what the site is talking about when y’all refer to the red-pill?

    Red pill: watch movie Matrix

Paul talks about renewing your mind, and Jesus talks about being born again. Kind of like that

Welcome brother and nothing wrong with being a custodian

It’s nice to meet both of you! I’m really looking forward to meeting people and making friends on here. I’ve read through some of the forums and there seems to be some really great guys on here. I’ve kind of withdrawn from society quite a bit because of the evil and distractions that constantly goes on around me. I’d rather spend most of my time relecting and trying to pray and meditate as much as I can. I dig the whole red-pill thing. Totally fits in with my philosophy on life.

Redpillbible, that picture is an awesome meld of the red-pill ideology with that of the Lord. I love it. It’s truly great to meet a fellow believer. Maybe we can talk about the faith a little bit sometime.

Same goes to you Chaff/Flare. You seem to know a little bit about the Word yourself. It totally blows me away to meet some guys like y’all right off the bat. I used to be AMMO (muntions), particularly Precision Guided Munitions, while I was in the Air Force, so I’ve handled a lot of actual chaff and flare.

But, yeah, it is great to meet y’all. Looking forward to talking with y’all.

don’t sign the marriage contract even though the bible promotes marriage.

Great to meet you, brother! Thanks for the warm welcome. It’s really not a bad job. I actually don’t dread getting up in the mornings to go to work. I like the people I work around and the bosses are pretty good to me. Like i said, though, it’s not a permanent job. It just gives me something to do and make a little extra cash while I go to school.

I really don’t even have plans to, brother. The bible also really promotes celibacy and says its a gift. Paul talks a lot about it in his letter to the Corinthians. It’s pretty difficult, and I know a lot of people will probably think of me funny for doing this, but I’ve taken a vow of celibacy until I have completed my training and decide to get into dating again. I might find a person I like before then, but I’m trying to stick to biblical principles.

Thanks very much for the welcome. I’m truly grateful.

Amen brother, we can definately discuss the Lord whenever. I enjoy it very much. You’ll probably see me bring it up from time to time on the forums, or even do personal 1 on 1 messages when the time comes.

That sounds great, my friend. I’m truly looking forward to it. Encouragement and friendship in Christ is a truly amazing thing.

That sounds like a loaded question. haha

But as for the question, yes I do very much believe that. Being filled with the Holy Ghost is a feeling like no other and amazing things happen. Speaking in tongues is really thought of as the initial sign of being baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit allows a person to have many different spiritual gifts. Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; and 1 Corinthians 12:28. And you? Do you believe in these signs?

Of course. But without love you have nothing at all.

“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:2-4

Of course. But without love you have nothing at all.

Faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. Love is the central point of Jesus’ teachings. Coming to realize this has brought me out of the deepest, darkest places that I have been in in life. Through His love I have learned to love others, and that has made me able to love myself.

    I don’t chase “anointings” though.

A semblance of holiness but without power is what I avoid. See the pain here, just absorb what has happened. Still trying to get my arms around the deception, I was a victim of it.

Knowledge puffs up, love edifys. Tricky

that has made me able to love myself.

That my friend, is the only way “love your neighbor as you love yourself” anyway you can message me or anyone privately, where this is going is off website I think
