I’ve heard a few make a good case that super-sized social media like Facebook and YouTube should be regulated like utilities are, like electric companies.

I’m guessing here but can’t a company decide what it allows to be shared so shuts down channels it dislikes thereby not strictly infringing on free speech.

It’s one thing to shut down channels because it infringes on Youtube’s Community Guidelines. It’s another thing to censor and shut down channels just because you don’t like them.

what you can do now is to download youtube content and upload it under the fair use kinds of tactics elsewhere…

Great! I f~~~ing hate YouTube and the adverts that they put on the video play-back. YouTube’s un-fair censorship of its own hosted content deserves to kill itself. People need to move their videos on to other platforms ASAP. This is the beginning of the end for YouTube, caused by themselves.

The good news is:

1) The community is wise to the bulls~~~. Pretty much all of YouTube’s political videos get downvoted to Hell.
2) They’re doing an unbelievably s~~~ty job at censoring people.
3) Viable alternatives now exist: Bitchute for videos, Minds for social networking, MakerSupport and Hatreon for financial support, DuckDuckGo instead of Google (doesn’t track you).

Yeah I’m using DuckDuckGo most of the time. The only time I use Google is for schoolwork.
