out on a massive drink up last night and never made it home (still drunk I think) so thought I would put up this thread and hopefully everyone posts to it

everyone has their favourite games of all time from Ocarina of Time to Resident Evil….my personal favorurite game of all time is Skies of Arcadia on the Dreamcast (best console ever made) – that game got me through my GCSEs and I play through it usually once a year. I always think the one of the best thing about a game is the soundtrack and Skies has the best one

Texas Holdem Poker around a real table not on a machine.
Nothing is its intellectual match for reading people.

Chess is my fave for 1 on 1 board game.

I like computer games just do not have time for them anymore.

I was bound to be misunderstood, and I laugh at those who misunderstand me. Kind mockery at the well intentioned, but unfettered cruelty towards those would be prison guards of my creative possibilities. This so as to learn as much from misunderstanding as from understanding. Taking pleasure in worthy opponents and making language fluid and flowing like a river yet pointed and precise as a dagger. Contradicts the socialistic purpose of language and makes for a wonderful linguistic dance, A verbal martial art with constant parries that hone the weapon that is the two edged sword of my mouth.

UK time it was about 7am!

Was a massive session with work people. Thankfully everyone is friendly with me so my drunken mouth didn’t get me into trouble! Going half day though – the hangover has kicked in now

RIVEN / MYST / EXILE TRLOGY (1990s by CYAN)

I was hooked. They were great. If you don’t know them, they were like fantasy other-wordly walk-throughs with booby traps, and riddles to solve. Very immersive, cool soundtracks. Otherwise I’m not a gamer at all and haven’t played computer games in like, +20 years.

I always wanted them to create a sequel in HD using more modern technology.

Before that, my favorite game of all time was a Star Wars arcade game …. where you fly in an X-wing in the trench and blow up towers and tie fighters. At the time it was only wireframe, but it was SO cool. I blew all my allowance on it as a teen.

There were so many great games in the 1990’s. It is so hard to name an all time favorite. “Ocarina of Time” is definitely way up there. “Myst” was the first game I had for PC and was amazing. I never played “Skies of Arcadia,” but I will have to check that out.

My all time favorite would have to be “Final Fantasy VII” not just for nostalgia either. I think this game had an amazing story. I liked the setting of the game too. It was a pseudo-realistic world. Dystopian outlook on a future we were rapidly approaching. Pertinent issues were dealt with like: Corporate Monopolies, Genetic Engineering, Human Rights, Pollution. Mako Energy is a thinly veiled satire on “Oil Industry.”

Graphics are dated now, but at the time the Cut Scenes really blew me away.

Battle Mechanics were good and easy to learn.

I could go on, but I think for an RPG this game had it all.

Tough one. Probably Civilization 3 overall… it came out in late 2001 and I’m still playing it 16 years later.

I also like Fallout 4 as a recent game, because of the mix of combat, exploration and building settlements. (there is always new stuff to do)

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas was one of my favourites if measured by the hours I spent playing it. Liked IV but never got into V.

Resident Evil was a good series. Slow but moody.

I was a fan of Forza also.

Ah and Hitman. Majorly liked that. Working out how to get Silent Assassin status on each level. Something very satisfying about taking out the enemy after a few hours sneaking about.
Damn I want to play that now.

Other times it was great just to run amok with submachine guns.

My friends were in to this, and I bought my first computer…a very early Pentium so I could play this. I think I paid $1000 for the computer, keyboard, monitor and mouse. With this, I was a Computer God, my friends had 486/45 machines some has higher end 386…lol

Tough question. Morrowind is definitely my favorite game when it come to story, plot, and lore. But since Nerevar has already posted it, I would have to say Kotor 1 and 2. I consider both to be one game but I liked the second one slightly more.

The way Star Wars was meant to be.

You want to make me angry? I will take a bite out of that anger and shit out success.

Resident Evil Director’s Cut non-Duel Shock version where it had the original soundtrack.

If I had enough money, I would have a construction crew build me that mansion.

Lately I have been playing Resident Evil 5 on the PS4 so I can catch up on my PS3 accomplishments. I downloaded Resident Evil 7, but haven’t played it yet. I’ve only seen it on YouTube and this game is flat out disturbing.

I loved Thief II, but unfortunately, my Windows 7 PC doesn’t support it.

Never got into computer or console games much. Used to enjoy trying to play Wolfenstein 3d, but it never quite ran right on the 12MHz 80286 machine I had at the time.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has been my favorite for quite some time now. I suppose almost ever since it first came out in 2003. It did take a bit to get used to, since starting with Ocarina of Time and the Oracle games set a different tone, but it grew on me immensely. Might be objectively better games now, however not many come too close to giving me the same feelings as I initially had with it. All that said, I think my other top games deserve mention:

    2.Killer7
    3.The Last Guardian
    4.Nier Automata
    5.Deadly Premonition
    6.Metroid Prime Trilogy
    7.Okami
    8.Pokemon Gen 2
    9.Mother 3
    10.Super Mario Galaxy

Ninja Gaiden Black on the original Xbox. I sunk so many hours playing that game. Still play it till this day.

If it has tits or tires, you know you're going to have problems.
