It’s been 2 years since I filed for divorce and 8 months since it was granted. I’m still tied to the family court with appeals and contempt charges on both sides. Anything I do that p~~~es her off and she’s back crying to her lawyer, who is only more than happy to file whatever she want, because it’s more money for him. Contempt because I can’t give her a 20$ plant pot she forgot to pack up and I threw away the day I got my house back. Contempt because I won’t let her talk to our son while he’s asleep. Threatened with contempt because I returned him in the underwear he wanted to wear and not the one she wanted.

Tonight, a friend commented that at least my divorce was over. I told him my divorce won’t be over for 14 years until my son turns 18.

Unless I was to have child custody issues, then there shouldn’t be any reason to ever see this woman again never mind be concerned if she hates me or not.

There would maybe this future holiday or that event where we were both invited, but it doesn’t mean that I must attend, and if I did it doesn’t mean that I can’t say a pleasant “Hi” and then just move along.

Personally at this stage of my life, and the condition of what you would call our “marriage”, it doesn’t matter if she hates, loves, or WHATEVER.
