Wish I was, Young anyway, but I got to thinking why FREE and Single?

The idea of being Free is taken as living in a Western Democracy, however, as many of us now know, what freedoms we had are being slowly erroded.

The “Free” part of the saying refers to the fact that the person is Single. Therefore once the person is in a committed (from one side anyway), relationship they become “Un”Free, or as we would put it “A Slave”

Lets say a guy is currently Young Free and single. Is he really Free? He’s certainly not free from societal pressure to find a partner. He’s not free from family pressure to find a wife and most importantly make grandchildren.

Who benefits from the guy giving up his unattached, Single Freedom?

Society benefits from all the money he will lay out on entertaining his date. His date benefits from having him become her Utility slave and cash cow for her unending wants. His Family benefits from having their DNA (Supposedly) being carried into the next generation, His boss benefits by Knowing he can’t just walk off the job when the pressure gets to high cos’ he’s got “Committments”, His partner benefits from having someone to pay the bills as she provides gradchildren to her family, and his child would benefit from having a father figure around when the child is growing up.

Unfortunately for the guy, the only benefits to him are:

    Societal acceptance.

    Initially, regular sex?

Being a father to his child.

Now for a dose of unspoken reality.

How many guys are bringing up kids that ain’t theirs? Momma’s Baby, Papa’s Maybe

How long does the free access to regular sex last once the child is born and the deal is sealed?

Just how much does Society value fathers? What status does this grant?

How many guys look back on the Time they were Young Free and Single and realise the only aspect of their lives that were really Free were all connected to being Single?

    Hindsight is always wiser.

Learn from the mistakes of others.

    Peace Out

I might be 40 but I still feel young. I have been very lucky. No wife or kids. This used to make me sad. Now I know how lucky I am. Great post Greg!

Didn’t get my dick wet until I was 23. Wish I was still a virgin.

I don’t regret losing my virginity. I do regret wasting so much time on people who never loved me for who I was but for what I could provide. My ideal would be to enjoy what women have to offer while not beccoming a slave to someone else’s dream.

Surely, if Feminism means equality then men and women should be able to enjoy each others company without legal obligations and risks.

We should both be free agents while it suits us both.

The only thing you own is your mind. Consequently it’s the only freedom you have.

Not even our own bodies are under our control. We are at its mercy too.

So free your mind and just enjoy being a watcher of the fall of the human race.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape, finding oneself in the ranks of the insane. Marcus Aurelius

I have had many acquaintances (people who I will not call friends) make fun of me for staying single and talk s~~~ and stir up bulls~~~ about me. No f~~~s given attitude just p~~~ed them off. But I have had the last laugh with ALL of them. I have seen them get married and then divorced, attempt suicide, or just sit in a tavern and drink their lives away.

Now when they see me, the turn tail and hide or just stare in amazement. They can’t believe that “crazy guy” was actually smarter than them.

I unplugged from the matrix years ago, and live every day thankful that I did not have to endure the pain and suffering as other have. I consider myself lucky.

Don't chase tail. Turn yours around, walk away, and live free!
