I am making the final payment on a credit card tomorrow.

This was the card I used to pay for the retainer for the first lawyer in my divorce 7 years ago.

The retainer, and immediately I was under attack from the c~~~.

In the fall of 2009 I was going to a community college to work towards a teaching certificate…and I snagged an internship in the college pre school lab. These are mostly children of college professors and staff, some community, all kids under age 5.

Great, something to put on the resume! and it is a paid position, fantastic. I think it paid $8.25 an hour, 4 hours a day 5 days a week…do the math and I make $165 a week, this lasted 16 weeks do the math again…$2,540.

Once the c~~~ found out I had a job, she went to work on me, taking me to court 11 times in those 16 weeks. She wanted to collect her 28% child support. Keep in mind, at this time she made $120,000 a year. ok dudes, 28% of $2,540 is the princely sum of $711.20. I was living in a minivan at a Loves truck stop and she makes $120,000 taking me to court 11 times to collect $711.20.

Each court visit, my lawyer billed me $500 plus an hour at $350 prep and paperwork plus $150 an hour for the paralegal. Essentially this dude was sucking $1000 out of me every time we went to court. Ultimately I was pulled into court over 300 times in 6 years.

Her lawyer billed at a much higher rate…$750 per hr in court, $500 prep and paper and $350 for the paralegal.

Court would take 3 hours. We were typically there from 9am to 12 either arguing in court, testifying, waiting, negotiating and reporting back to the judge our decision to make it a legally binding pile of bulls~~~.

My costs for those 11 visits…33 hours of court time…$33,000
Her costs estimated…same 33 hours of court time at least $52,800.

All to collect $711.20 from a homeless community college student.

Hey lurkers thinking about getting married? Would ya like 11 court visits in 16 weeks, or a decent used sports car, or maybe 4 years at a state university? What can you do with a combined $85,000? Half a really good house? You could have a mountain of blow on your desk, just like the dude in Scarface with $85,000.

My lawyer used my money as part of a down payment on a 90 foot motor yacht down in Florida. It’s like something a Bond villain would have FFS. He retired to it the next year and I had to hire another lawyer.

Her lawyer ate all that money. Seriously, every time I saw her lawyer, her ass was bigger. And she bought a Mercedes ML500 with the c~~~’s money.

Why was she even bothering with $700 in the first place? I had no choice a summons was a summons, but for 10 of those court dates, she didn’t even show up. No sanctions against her, me if I skip court, I get a bench warrant for my arrest. Because I am the defendant, the criminal. Answer: because she is f~~~ed in the head!

Women get crazy and aggressive when they don’t get their own way over money.

Ex was asking me for money a few weeks back. I’m guessing a s~~~ load of false allegations are about to ensue when she doesn’t get her own way

I worked with guys who went through some similar bulls~~~. Per our contract we would get raises every year in the neighborhood of 2-3 percent and longevity raises that usually came out to a quarter of 1% and their c~~~ ex-wives would yank them into support court every single time they got any type of raise. Court costs and lawyers fees on both sides, all for an extra $18 a pay. Then some of the c~~~s would manipulate the court appearances so that the days fell on the same days that the guys were working so they would either have to use a vacation day or find someone to cover their shift.

I guess there is only one person who’s laughing in all of this – the lawyers wife.

In my humble opinion woman love inflicting pain. More so to those they once professed their love to.

Perhaps a case study could be done that explores the female mind while going through the divorce proceedings. It could potentially reveal the true nature of female mindset.

I’m sorry to hear that you had to go through all of this but your keenness to share your stories are truly a gift to the budding young man willing to listen and learn.
