“When people learn that I’m 412 pounds, they assume that means I’m inactive or unhealthy,” she wrote in her blog last year. “I’m actually one of the most health conscious people you’ll ever meet. The myth that obesity has any relationship to health is absolutely ridiculous.”

Apparently, her heart attack must have been caused by her genetics, and NOT her Obesity.

Apparently the article is bogus, sadly.

The site is similar to theonion.com however the ideas behind the article are relevant. Heavier people die off earlier. Take for instance a Sumo wrestler. They typically have about 10 years less. Furthermore it is not just the lifespan. The quality of life must also be considered.

I watched a Ted Talk with this hippo. She literally started by saying, “I know, I’m the elephant in the room”. You don’t say? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    Fuck bitches... literally and metaphorically

I agree. But there are plenty of real/true examples to use, to not use a bogus story.
I don’t know what OP knew, but if he knew this was just “satire” he should have pointed it out.

I am not comedy police, but doesn’t satire need to be seen as such to be funny? Otherwise it is just a really good impression, right? This article was spot on with the HAES twittertard mindset.

Thanks for pointing out that the article is satire, it says so right at the bottom but I missed it! Just goes to show how believeable a scenario like that is to a casual reader today.
