I wrote this before discovering MGTOW.com
I welcome any critique of my argument.
Please read this independent of the current legal situation around marriage and defactos. Try to read it from a position where male and female relations are governed by nature.
I’m not advocating a push for women to take up prominent positions in industry, business, academia, etc. On the whole men are better suited for those roles. But I certainly would not stop a woman from doing those things.
I see that women have an extremely important role of creating stability in society. In many ways the feminine energy is a counter to male energy. The male energy (yang) wants to charge and push the limits. But unrestrained action usually results in failure. If feminine energy (yin) is allowed to develop in its own right it can temper the yang and steer it towards success.
Encouraging women to be more like men is a disaster. The society will have too much yang and become unstable.
Japan had a good grasp of yin and yang. The men took up the public roles in society but gave their income to their wives. The wives then used their energy to safeguard the family fortune and would only give their husbands enough pocket money for small spending.
With Chinese mothers you see the strong yin energy driving them to teach their children discipline, focus, and diligence. On an even more basic level the Chinese yin energy is directly competing for Anglo Saxon breeding partners. These strong women are not stuffing around, they don’t play games. They come here and try to find a man to marry and have kids with. Then they keep the man happy so he keeps bringing home the money and getting resources to her children.
In this way the male yang energy is directed outwards to gather resource for the family while the female yin energy is directed inwards to keep the family together. A man cannot be allowed to bring the hunting behaviour home or he will wreak havoc on his own family. So as soon as he comes home the yin energy must be able to disarm him and control him.
If you want to see what unchecked yang energy does simply type “Донба́сс” into YouTube and witness the carnage of yang vs yang.
A woman is not a man, and visa versa. Each needs to express themselves according to their disposition. Pushing a woman to take on male roles is just as bad as suppressing her. She needs to be encouraged to be a woman.

She can have monopoly money to play with in the meantime she could learn new recipes and focus on only speaking when spoken to.
If the man cant maintain his energy then he fails its up to him not a woman.
I watched this one video about how women are in control of the money like you said. The husband was given an extremely small allowance he stated he only enjoyed his cigarettes which was what he spent over half of his allowance on.
I think it is a reasonable argument. Though the idea of a wife providing her husband an “allowance” of his own damn money doesn’t sit well with me. I somehow doubt that these wives also never wasted said money.
Not to mention considering MGTOW and some of the most brilliant men in history, men can achieve much more without a woman to “balance” them out.
In what way have the attributes you ascribe to the yin/yang devotees of Japan helped to make that a successful and enduring society? Japan is a mess right now to put it mildly and men working their lives to the bone just to earn a meager allowance back from their stingy wives is supposed to be an ideal circumstance? And the women in China are coming to the west in droves and clamoring to find an Anglo-Saxon husband? Sorry but I don’t think so.
You are fantasizing if you think that ephemeral societal pressures are going to trump genetic predispositions. Women of all races and in all times throughout history express hypergamy and men of all races and in all times express the need to dominate.
It is these root genetic predispositions that gives us the dynamics of male/female interactions. “Society”, regardless of its composition or norms, is nothing more than the stage where those basic instincts play themselves out as interactions. Your argument (or more rightly “observations”) gives too much credit where very little is due and gives none at all where the bulk of credit should rightfully be placed.
Understand that societal norms and habits are ever changing while the struggle between the men and women remains eternal. Feminism and even MGTOW are nothing more than responses to recent societal circumstances. Both are intended to alter the societal circumstances that gave them birth at which point they will will be cast aside only to be replace with the next set of tools/weapons needed by men and women to carry on our eternal struggle with each other.
The process is both ugly and beautiful and can not be explained away by the state of affairs of any society’s current habits and norms.

Anonymous12The closest the world ever had to a Yin and Yang system was in Western Countries notably English founded ones, America and Western Europe.
Men and Women would both work but performed tasks suited to their abilities and gender. People got married, raised children and for the most part it worked out well as they took care of each other, the man earning money to provide and the woman providing a home and looking after the children.
Asia seems very centered around what women want, in China due to the one child policy and the obsession with male children there are way more Chinese Males then Females which makes the women feel even more empowered to be c~~~s.
In Japan you have the Herbivore movement which is like MGTOW on speed, these guys don’t want anything to do with women at all. And their birth rate is declining. Also the younger generation aren’t buying into the heavy work culture that their parents did.
Eastern Europe is much the same, Russian women like money and what men can give them but not men themselves. Same with India really, they just play life by numbers and even when Indian men marry Western women the woman just uses him to do all the work as is happening with one of my work colleagues who has no idea what he is in for, but hey he is marrying a blonde Aussie woman who is also as fat as a pig but all he sees is blonde hair.
Nope, the West had it as close to Yin and Yang as possible, before the Marxists deceived to f~~~ it all up.
With all due respect to the OP in attempting to discussing an important topic, he falls prey to a modernist version of yin/yang. The actual terms translate accurately as “dark/bright”. This can be translated into western thought as “evil/good”. Both good and evil are necessary and complimentary. Western Civilization which is based on Judeo Christian religions rejects the necessary characteristic of evil and instead assert that evil is a rejection of God’s will i.e. Original Sin. So, once this is understood, the OP’s theory is based on a false premise or understanding of the philosophy of yin/yang.
As an aside: I am finding similarly false modern understandings of other classical religions also. For example, I engaged in an involved discussion with an American who claimed his religion as Buddhist but admitted that reincarnation is an optional belief. Whereas, the original documents credited to Buddha himself such as the Sumatra and ALL other writings explicitly state the centrality of reincarnation and escape from it!!!
Again, another great thread. God bless, Michael
Anonymous3I am not a “spiritual” guy, neither I have dwelt deeply with religions. I specially distrust all organized movements after a bad experiente with an esoteric school…
But the issue of yin and yang is a deep one, pertaining to the concept of duality. The duality initially appears to be simple concept, since we see it everywhere: black/white, left/right, negative/positive, man/woman, good/evil, etc.
But in further analysis we see that there is no extreme without the other. As one spiritual teacher said, we would not have a concept of left or right hand if we only had one hand. It would just be “hand”, just like “nose”.
So, with a Taoist inflection I would say that duality (the opposites) are just concepts or interpretations. When looking closely, every opposite contain the other. The symbol of Tao represents this as the different color circle inside each of the moving opposite. This might appear to be a useless approach at first, but the deeper meaning is that the opposites are a game of obfuscation. When you are playing this game you are lost.
Let us use this view with the duality men/women. If you get lost in the discussion of women’s rights, men’s rights, women’s views, men’s views, then you missed the essencial point that men and women are PEOPLE. Then we say PEOPLE’S RIGHTS, PEOPLE’S VIEWS. That is when we rise above all the social constructs and preconceptions regarding gender.
I can give an example: person A marries person B. Because A earns more that B, B gets to stay at home. Therefore A is giving more to the relationship than B, and B should be considerate of that.
But lets put this in another way: Jon marries Sue. Because Jon works at IT and Sue is a waitress, Sue gets to stay at home. That is taken socially and even in our own perception as completely normal and accepted.
And we can put this yet in another way: Mark marries June. Because June works is a successful model and Mark is a bartender, Mark gets to stay at home. That is taken as Mark being a freeloader and a parasite, even in our own perception Mark is less than a man.
So, the yin/yang energy is simply an expression of the game, a yin expression and a yang expression. In the game of life it is generally necessary to have male and female to produce offspring, but the specifics may vary wildly and I would say without any moral or ethic background, it’s just the way it end ups. Then you have consequences: variable degrees of success or failure for the specie with that specific strategy.
Our present human situation is a definite failure waiting to happen.
In a MGTOW view I would say that through pain or observation we get above the duality man/woman and say “f~~~ this, I am a person”. Since we understand the present game, that has become more rigged than ever was (not that it was ever fair to begin with), we say “I am out of here”. Essentially we remove ourselves from social expectations and biological conditioning.
Ever wonder why the enlightened persons, from Buda to Jesus, and every serious monk, needed to get away from society and abandoned the “game”? Because they have seen through it.
