The menu for a cafe planned in Geneva would be for adult eyes only if a Swiss firm gets its business plans approved. Bradley Charvet, who hails from a local escort agency and who came up with the idea for the so-called “cafe fellatio” (working title only, we assume), was inspired by places just like it in Thailand, the Local reports.

How it would work: A male patron would enter the cafe, order a coffee, then scroll through an iPad looking for the prostitute he’d like to orally pleasure him.

He’d then pony up the $60 or so for the service, plus a possible drink surcharge (what both the Local and Newstalk say would be the most expensive coffee in the city), take a seat at the “bar,” and enjoy his order.

“In five or ten minutes, it’s all over,” Charvet told Le Matin newspaper. Because prostitution is legal in Switzerland, Charvet’s scheme would, in theory, be on the up-and-up, as long as the establishment was classified as a massage parlor if two or more prostitutes plied their trade there.

Right now, the city’s Department of Security and Economy is reviewing the paperwork and has yet to give it the green light. But just because it might be OK in the eyes of the law doesn’t mean everyone’s thrilled with the idea.

Gregoire Thery, a rep for a French anti-prostitution organization, tells L’Express newspaper that the cafe would be, in effect, legalizing pimping and offering a benefit only for male patrons. Taken from foxnews.com

This idea has success written all over it. But i say keep the coffee – BJ & caffeine would be a great lunch break!

As far as the French dudes complaints…he’s reaching. ‘Pimping’ is really just describing the sales/distribution aspect of prostitution. It’s providing the means of getting a customer in touch with a service provider. It does not mean that women will be forced to serve against their will or treated poorly.

As far as ‘only serving women’, why is that so? I have no doubt that women can receive service if they want as well. They may not be willing to partake at first, but as we know, women want to do everything a man does.

    Ok. Then do it.

I’ve had mixed to bad feelings about prostitution for most of my life… until recently that is.
I find prostitutes in general to be some of the most honest women out there, especially the ones “working” in legal and controlled establishments.
    This is a good idea.

The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!

If you don’t like the idea, don’t give them your business. That simple.

Can you see under the table / bar? Or do you risk getting unknowingly blown by a grandma or male refugee?

So dudes sit next to each other while getting suck jobs? Weird.

Yeah, that’s my feeling too, but then I’m not into prostitutes. For guys that are, this is a clever idea.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Sweden pass a new law allowing prostitutes to sell sex but made it
illegal for men to pay for it ?
That cafe setup sounds like an entrapment sting.

lol. That’s exactly what I was thinking about. I’m sure they’ll come up with a way past that though. I hope.

i’m pretty sure that law has been around for a while now. but you’re correct- in the eyes of the law the women are “victimized” even though they’re the ones selling the service.

You guys are mixing up the Swedes and the Swiss.

    The Swedes:
Sweden is the one that is north side of Europe between Norway and Finland. Best known as a feminist hell whole and rape capital of the world. Also the source of that “The woman is always the victim for taking men’s money” prostitution model. (Also part of the EU)

    The Swiss:
Switzerland small country to the right of France and under Germany. Place is surrounded by mountains relativity isolated. Best know for chocolates, and small army knives that try to shove in every tool imaginable, also some scandals or questions about Nazi gold. Oh and some mercs that guard the Pope. In terms of similarity of their society to that of Sweden it is closer the the polar opposite. Prostitution is long standing fully legal in Switzerland. (Not part of the EU, bailed on their application over immigration issues,… smart choice if you ask me.)

The business proposal came from some guy who thought essentially, “Hey there’s no law that whore houses can’t serve coffee.”
