Love the Yakuza series. Just wish all the features they have in the Japanese version was available in the west.

Zero had the soft porn videos in the dvd shop – made searching out female characters more appealing so you could see them semi naked

6 apparently has the babestation style dating game in it but I haven’t come across it yet. Going to play a couple of hours on it tonight so might take a look for it

I got into the series after having seen Super Best Friends play through some of 4. I think I’ve played a bit of all of them now but have only actually finished 3, 4, Dead Souls, 6, and now the Japanese version of Kiwami 2. Not the best way to play them but I’m a bit impatient and have a bad habit of importing games I don’t understand…but I guess the next step is to finish 0, 1, and 2 and move on from there. 5’s pacing really made it difficult for me to continue, especially having spoiled the ending for myself.

In any case, despite that 6 feels a bit rushed, I still enjoyed it and, although many will disagree, I feel had one of the better stories. Probably because I have some nostalgia for 3 which it feels a bit similar to, but I also feel like sticking to just one character made for a more cohesive narrative.

Last night I did the hotel “rescue” mission from the Tojo. Probably my favourite mission so far but now I am back in Kamurocho so I am just playing Puyo Puyo in the arcade non-stop again

also I have been doing those clan missions and didn’t realise that they got across a whole load of NJPW stars outside of Okada for it! Love it

I wasn’t too interested in the clan stuff but maybe I’ll have to get to it soon. Just been busy trying to finish 0 and now I’ve also got Dark Souls remastered to play. 6 is the first I’ve bothered with the post-game Adventure mode thing, hoping that doesn’t block off clan stuff.

I finished Zero not all that long ago and have Kiwami and 6 in my possession. Will play them soon.
