XWING Series is back!

Back in the day I used to play these games. Best flight simulator game I ever played, reflexes and tactics do come in handy. Command Wingman, configure engines, shields, ammo, take down the Empire, blow up some Rebels, pirate some cargo, this game is a huge time sink for me and I’ve learned over the years how to install my old CD-ROMs to work for Windows 7 and 8. I’m glad to see that someone’s picked it up and made it easy to install and play. I am so happy to see this and I thought I would share.

Gog has acquired many of the Lucasarts games now. I just bought Outlaws(1997) from there for $6 USD. It’s as hard as I remember it being, but it has really good production values. Nice to see because it was suffering from severe bit rot before.

I’m hoping for a release of the original Monkey Island series in the future as well.

Monkey Island reminds me of the old Kings Quest\Police Quest\Space Quest Series that Sierra made way back in the days of 386, and 486. Als, I remember playing Leisure Suit Larry, good times good times. But Xwing by far was the best game I have ever played in the History of Forever.
