A relative is helping me out by reformatting and more ram for this machine, Using W-7 and office 2016, like a fish hitting water! I like win 7, it’s on my CCTV machine, but I never used it to any real depth. It’s now on network with this machine, and setting up outlook (once you find the file) is the same as XP. F~~~ Win 8 and 10, those are for social media hens!
Anyway, I haven’t had a landline for more than a decade. I’m using Callcentric and it’s CHEAP! Well within my confines of cheapness! I unhooked the phone street line and made a stinger line to energize the lines throughout the house from the Callcentric Modem. Next is to get my outdated IEEE firewire working!

I cleaned out all kinds of wiring and remnants from the old batcave that lay dead for more than a decade. Printers and scanners are all networked.
CCTV, computers, modems, everything blinking and flashing again! IT’S ALIVE!,,,, AGAIN!

I have an ass ton/tonne of s~~~ to do! Gotta run, you guys have great day!

I will only use Windows 7 sir…I freaking love it…WIll not TOUCH 8 or 10…But that is just me, can’t stand them…I would go to Voip in a happy second if my s~~~ DSL would support it, but I digress…Awesomesauce sir…Wish I could get me some CCTV going, they are not that expensive, seen a black and white with infrared system at wallie world for like $110, the last I checked…Two camera system..I should look into it again, it is a dadgum good idea!

Man, am I old…lol…just checked out Amazon and found this little dealio for $89…dadgum nice too!

I miss the old days of Windows 95. Hell, even Windows ME was great compared to this dumbed down s~~~ they call Windows 8/10.

In the future, I’ll most likely end up switching to a Mac though. Even though I hate them as well, I hate the metro UI s~~~ on Windows 8/10 even more.

The ONLY thing that makes Win 8/10 usable is Classicshell.

Otherwise, I’d of switched fully to Linux.

I end up using my real identity because I really have no personal s~~~ on my computer.

But, when I eventually start developing code seriously, I’m switching to Linux until I have enough to save up for a Mac!

Microsoft is f~~~ing Skynet. Google doesn’t even compare with their spying!

I use Win8 all due to ClassicShell, I can’t stand the Metro crap. I use keyboard and mouse on my computer, not the touch sensitive stuff. Sometimes I swear that MS has lost it.

I switched to Linux, only two computers are dual boot to Windows 8.1 and 7 to support Microsoft Office that I need to use when I run into the odd thing that can’t be handled by LibreOffice.

I know at least one company that is crapping bricks over the issues in Windows 10 because my IT-Guy is changing them over to a mostly Linux based company this year, and has inquiries from other SoHo users too.

IT-Guy also told me they are putting the spying software into 7 & 8 via updates, so even if you stay off 10 they try to get you. I am glad I don’t have to worry about that since I had the network and wifi drivers disabled for Windows so they cannot connect to the internet.

Personally, my old games run good on it, as do my older software programs. I don’t need a lot, so I use free software to get 99% of my work done. Not only that, but the laptops I depend on run smoother and I can wait more time before upgrades.

So, what do I need Windows for again ? I can’t see why I should pay for Windows when Linux is cheaper for me ?
