I was expecting a feminist s~~~ show but it was actually really good. Aside from the lame ‘X-Women’ scene near the start there isn’t any other sign of feminism stinking up the place (aside from the usual band of females being soldiers etc which is always lame)

I didn’t mind how they approached the Phoenix and the action scenes were fantastic

The train scene at the end is one of the best comic book fights I’ve seen – they unleash Magneto who just f~~~s everyone up. Plus all the others finally use their powers as you would expect

The X-Men are about to go to the MCU which means race and gender swapping of all the characters along with crap jokes so with DP being the last proper XM film, I’m glad I enjoyed it

I respectfully didn’t care for it. first off the original dark phoenix storyline is superior.

Second, asshole beta simp dad can’t deal with daughter after wife tragedy. Painting dad as asshole and why she’s screwed up.

Third paints professor x as asshole for lying to her. so now another male authority figure asshole.

All the female characters are great and/or more powerful than the male characters who are shamed and written as largely followers and clueless.

Not mmy kind of movie. Sad they ruined a franchise I liked as a kid. But even I left it in the 90s when the homos read into the mutants comics that mutants were code for homos, that that was the whole trying to have tolerance and acceptance for mutants/tolerance for gay bs. Dropped them all right there.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

I am super sensitive to any female bulls~~~ and the film didn’t have any

The dad thing was justified but not in an “evil man” way and the whole Xavier being wrong idea was put on him by other men (Beast). The film was fine and like I said apart from that retarded “X-Women” speech it was a great film

    I really enjoyed it

I RedBoxed Gene Grey movie. Was excited for it and I can see why you say that its not that bad. I accept that but I also think that a lot more could have been done with Gene. Let the movie settle on you. You may decide against liking it. I did. One reason is that the only thing having to do with a Phoenix is a feint resemblance of it in an explosion.

I decided after seeing that film and the final Avenger one too where Stark dies… I decided Im 100% DONE with watching anything based on superheros. I never even saw Joker. Im just over it. I know its probably good so I will wait for Redbox on that one, and it will be the last.

Watch this film. The Lighthouse. Dont watch trailers. Just find the theater and go see it.
