Man, have you guys noticed that you have been having mail order bride ads while going on this web site. Anywhere from Chinese, Russian to Latina mail order bride sites. I even seen like one ad of an actual hot white young female in one of the ads, and when I clicked on it out of curiosity, I see that I just clicked on a Chinese mail order bride web site when I was expecting some sort of mail order bride site that has white females from a white race country. What a swerve that was! If you come to a site like this one, do you automatically get mail order bride or even online singles dating sites as well? because I also get online dating sites too!

Thank you for asking. Google serves up the ads. They also serve ads for cars (porsche) and upscale condos in chicago and really, anything relevant to the content.

So if a thread / forum / reply contains words like “marriage” or “divorce”, then you might see an ad for divorce attorneys. Or if the topic & content mentions “break ups”… I recently saw an ad for “when men pull away”.

When “women” are talked about, you might see an ad for “meet Russian women” or if the topic is “dating” you may see an ad for “dating websites”.

The advertisers “bid” on a spot on the site with Google, and google does everything including deciding what ads are best in certain places.

MOSTLY ads are for non-members. Non-logged in members see more ads. And 50% of our visitors are non-members. So while someone may be interested in a forums topic, they may be from “the other” audience, and could very well be interested in “dating”.

So the ads are less for YOU than they are for OTHERS.

The only thing WE control is what ads NOT to display. We deliberately reject all ads for jewelry, bridal stuff, weddings, children clothes, women’s shoes… and medication. But we don’t choose who advertises here… yet.

Eventually, we will be able to open up for SPECIFIC ads and say “yes BMW motorcycles can advertise here” and “NO, JC Penny and their misandrist send-him-to-the-doghouse if he buys you the wrong gift” s~~~ can just f~~~ off.

It’s very experimental as well, and we notice some do MUCH better than others. Google and the advertisers figure that out. We play no role in it right now.

Log out of the site and look around the forums. There is usually one just above the footer at the bottom of every page. If you are logged out, there are more.

• GALT members don’t see any.
The site is 100% ad-free for them (except in the front end DISQUS comment stream under videos and such)

• GHOST members will see less maybe 1 on a page at the bottom.

• BASIC members will see + 1 more than GHOST.

Mostly, ads are targeted and more visible to site VISITORS and not our logged in members.

That’s why our advertising is mostly geared to visitors and not to members. MGTOW are much smarter than that.

Sorry for overstepping the line, no malice intended, totally understand you have the weight of keeping the integrity of this site. A marvelous job you are doing, thank you for such a free space, perhaps the only free space we can express ourselves completely. It’s difficult to balance that freedom with my responsibility to act properly, as I don’t get that much practice of being totally free anywhere else.

Perhaps a topic for another thread but I just seem to shut down in general society under the weight of PC, it’s easier to shut the f~~~ up, then to risk breaking feminine rules, that’s why it’s so great to be here.

We started forcing strong passwords OCT 22,2015 for your benefit. So it needs to a minimum level of complexity, but it doesn’t need to be crazy or impossible. You can also copy and paste it in. If your password is crazy, you don’t have to type it out.

I think the salient point is that almost all of the adds, be they Russian, Chinese, Latino, or Malaysian, they are all hot looking women calling themselves wife material looking for husbands. This beer ad was very popular here in Australia, but I have mixed feelings about it. Yes it’s great to see a group of men get together and shoot-the-s~~~ over beer, pool and darts, but why the f~~~ do they have to do so by ‘sneaking’ out of the house they f~~~ing paid for! Might be an Aussie thing but I have loads of mates who spend hours hours in their sheds to get away from their demanding, nagging post-wall wives and girlfriends. Then again, I’ve had some of my best drinking sessions in my mates sheds where there’s no women, so I won’t think about it too much

Of course given that women do 80% of all consumer spending (with money earned by men), they are the easy, low hanging fruit in advertising. So once you get rid of all the ads trying to sell worthless crap to women for money they didn’t earn, there aren’t a lot of male targeted ads left. So it’s only natural we’re going to get a weird mix here.

Most advertisers don’t advertise a lot to men, and largely they have no f~~~ing clue how to advertise to men even if they wanted to.

I’m ghost, and see the ad at the bottom. When I am not logged in, I get a chuckle out of the “Asian ladies!” ads that appear, but that just means Google is smart enough to realise there is a hetero fella at the keyboard. (Kinda frightening, that). The ad at the moment is an ‘Open Universities’ ad that will have been generated by my previous browsing history (won’t go into it).
