On my way into work today, I stopped by the gas station for a snack and a pick me up. I had about 0.80 some odd change coming back to me. The friendly yet very large woman behind the counter asked me if I wanted to donate my change to the march of dimes or something. I simply said no and put my hand out.

It really p~~~es me off when stores of any kind solicit donations. Like the business’s don’t keep the money or a percentage for themselves. Yeah sure, like 100% is going to charity. Not to mention whatever they don’t skim off the top, they claim in tax breaks. And as if they money that gets donated doesn’t go to the salaries of all the pricks that run the organizations and charities as well.

It’s all a goddam scam and they think I’m dumb enough to fall for it. It’s my money and I won’t be shamed into donating it like I’m some sort of penny pinching scrooge.

    Assholes.

This s~~~ has been bugging me more and more of late as well. How about they tell me that with my purchase they are donating a percent of it to XYZ?

I never f~~~ing give them a cent. I would much rather straight up hand my change to a dude on the street than trust it going through some corporate hands to allegedly get to someone or some cause.

The concept of charity alone is bulls~~~, for the most part. You want to eat? Work for it. Why should you get money for free?

I tell them, “I gave last year! Are you saying they didn’t use the money wisely? Why are you asking me this year?”

Or when they ask I say, “Do you have some information about that charity? A pamphlet or something?” and then I follow it up with a bunch of inquiries about the charity which they can’t answer.

Or I ask straight up, “How much of the money goes directly to charity?” or “I’ve looked into those charities, and unfortunately, the CEOs keep most of the money”.

A large chunk of your donation goes into admin fees such as salary fund raising costs etc sometimes as little as 5% hit’s the actual end user, Google a high powered fund raisers salary it’s big business.

Aloha means family you don't leave family behind. Who will be the next Draconarius for MGTOW? MGTOW = brothers = acceptance = belonging

You just reminded me of the movie, “My Blue Heaven”. Steve Martin plays a mobster and I think he pull some scam where he ends up with two 5 gallon water bottles full of coins collected for some charity or something. Haven’t seen that movie in ages.

I work in banking and I see the Financials it’s big business a registered charity only needs to donate something like 5% or less to the end user to get charity status or some s~~~ I’m not 100% on the numbers but it’s pretty much a scam I would rather volunteer at a men’s shelter or like give money directly than give to charity

A lot of these charities send most of the funds raised from their own bank account to the marketing firms that work for them. Eg. Appco.

When I give to charities, and I do, I have done my research on them, and I donate specifically to the organization, directly.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

You think that’s bad? I’ve recently moved into a well-off area with very large (5,000+ square feet) $500k+ houses. Because of the community I live in, I get CONSTANT buttf~~~s ringing my doorbell asking for donations.

Today I had someone from PBS actually walk into my garage while I was cleaning it. Scared the s~~~ out of me. He started talking about the usual bulls~~~ and I cut him off and told him to get off my property.

And my mailbox is constantly STUFFED with BULLS~~~ advertisements about s~~~ that I didn’t even know existed. Apparently rich people spend money on some ridiculous s~~~ like asshole bleaching and dog walking. I’m a “rich person” but I certainly don’t live like one. I bought this house because I wanted to have a bigger place. My mom moved in with me a while back and I felt like we needed our own separate space. And I feel a lot safer in an area like this. Very little crime happens in this area.

I donate to charity every year via state and federal government enforced taxes. They take over 30% of my earnings every year.

Then I get to donate even more to charity via the family court system to my ex c~~~. She gets 50% of my remaining 70%.

So, after slaving away I get to keep a WHOPPING 30-35% of what I actually earn in a year.

And people want to brow-beat me because I won’t “donate to charity”.

Yea, around this time of year, they have that guy with a bell ringing for something. The bell is so annoying and hurts my ears. I want to take that bell and shove it up his ass. Then you have the turdies selling their turd scout cookies in a few months. Hey mister, want to buy some cookies? Drives me nuts. At CVS the other day, the cashier asks if I want to donate a dollar to St. Jude. No. Surprised look back. WTF. Does someone know of a money tree I can plant in my backyard?

I just love saying “No”! Love the look on the hamster’s faces. If pressed, I just say “That’s the gov’ts job. I have a sizable portion of my paycheck forcibly removed, before I ever even SEE it, under penalty of JAIL if I don’t pay! Call the gov’t and ask them for a donation”.
