work party revolved around answer trivia questions, name the song and artist and show us a special talent. I was in a group with 3 women. They asked me what special talent do you have? and all I could think of was I can pee standing up.

It was funnier in my head at the time. Fortunately, I kept my mouth shut.

I am one of 4 men in the building. lol

50 screaming women gaggling over irrelevant s~~~…4 hours of hell.

oh and once again my boss told me to be more extroverted. f~~~.

    Merry Christmas

“Work party” is a very nice oxymoron.

Attending “work party” where 95% of field are women is more taxing than working graveyard shift.

And seriously, i loathe anyone who tries to make introverted people more extroverted in work environemnt – if i do my job introvered/extroverted is as relevant as my religion, race or sex. But manginas and hive love blabber.

Work Parties are BEST AVOIDED !!! Haven’t been to 1 yet, and I’m pushing 10 years !! Luckily for me, they are always AFTER work at a local pub/restaurant.

Some of you guys like PistolPete that have worked in HR, have you ever heard of any person having this as a work requirement? It seems bizarre to me. The first time I had to do a performance evaluation for our Techs, I noted someone had put in their work requirements that they had to be “cheerful.” I told them it was absurd and eliminated it.

Not officially but Unofficially the code words are “team player”. The idea behind the party/hive is get dirt on people, to demonstrate you are non-threatening to others in their positions in short demonstrate you will follow their social/office rules. In any office where there is women there is also a pecking order and everyone must know their place. If you do not buy into this you are a threat, you aren’t a team player, you don’t drink the cool-aid—you have to go. This is one reason I got bounced around a lot of different VAs. I didn’t drink the cool aid. And it didn’t matter how competent or hard working I was. There was greater value placed on knowing my position in the pecking order and no “swimming out of my lane” as they say.

Work party = let your guard down and be fired = not worth going to.

I’m inclined to agree and try to ab=void mine. At my new place of work I avoided mine and have had no end of s~~~ as a result. Similarly for refusing to join in a secret santa. In th eUK if you are not a fool who acts like they are 17 getting drunk after drinking for 14 hours then taking pictures of what an idiot one is and discussing it at work for weeks after you are not a team players.
