    Work was brutal last night

    The pretask meeting was blah

I work with 8 men and 1 woman

The 8 men and I did a major reset of doors…moving out old product, building displays, cleaning up cardboard.
the 1 woman printed price labels and checked product alignment. (number on the door match the number on the plan and the shelf tag?)

yeah, when the boss announced what we were doing, the mood changed.

Doors weigh between 25 and 60 pounds each plus a frame. I think I moved 150 doors. Most of the doors, I moved 2 or 3 times.

    OMG Am I sore today…ughh

I’m grunting and sweating and she is flitting about, complaining that stacked up doors are in her way, making jokes and chatting up a couple of her favorites.

oh good news, the boss hired on a new team member. yep, a woman. Good thing we have two label printers.

Going back to bed dudes, have a great day.

I knew you would love this s~~~.

Good thing we have two label printers

You also have two “boat anchors” to sit on a pile of doors to keep them from flying off in high wind situations…the doors from flying off of course.

This happens all the time at my place of work. It’s the bee hive mentality for sure.

I would be ACTIVELY LOOKING for a night security job where I had a lil car and or office to sit in while i listened to my late night talk shows, and enjoyed a thermos of coffee as I did my periodic checks of the premises.

I did this type of work years ago, and found it PEACEFUL and RELAXING. NOBODY bothered me as long as I had made my rounds and punched my clocks to record my movements.
