I’ve got to get this off of my chest. I awaken around 0530 to begin my day. At 0630, The classic US sitcom “The Beverly Hillbillies” is shown on one of my local stations so that is my 30 minutes of comic relief before I face whatever hell the day brings. In the US, TV stations are required to show X amount of hours of Public Service Announcements(PSAs) in order to keep their licenses. For obvious reasons, these PSA ads are shown during low viewership slots.

My Hillbillies station is on this health issues PSA ad kick. I imagine myself as an Extraterrestrial Biological Entity examining Earth’s culture using these ads. I would naturally be led to the conclusion that only women experience any forms of disease. Yesterday, I got treated to one about cardiovascular illnesses. Of the 30 seconds that comprised this PSA, I’d say men got about 3 seconds of exposure in a very trite manner then the script switched right back to women in a very patronizing manner.

Yes it certainly does, to me it seems after ingesting the red pill I’m able to pinpoint sexism from a mile away especially during advertisements. TV especially is loaded with that “team women” crap, which is why I try to maneuver away from the news as well. Its so engrained in American culture, its just a constant bombardment of estrogenical treachery. What’s even worst is that most blue pill men hardly ever notice these atrocities.

You are both right about the all-female PSAs of course.

BTW, comparing The Beverly Hillbillies with today’s so-called comedies makes it plain why that show was such a long lived success. It was a different age. The generation old enough to remember and miss it is now dying out.
