For the first time, in 2019, women make up the majority of medical students. This bodes poorly for the prospects of medicine becoming a female dominated field. The political pressure women have put on the medical community cannot be understated. There are special programs for breast cancer, like intense patient followup and screening, and none for prostate cancer even though they have similar mortality rates.

    Not good.

I have 2 doctors (one for mental health I see every 3 months and a physical every March) and they’re both men. I don’t feel threatened by female doctors yet.

Men are gonna get screwed over even more. Not like many male docs do them many favors now.

Much can be blamed on the insurance companies dictating narrow approved tactics of ‘care’.

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

Here the UK is ahead of the US. We already have more women in medicine.

Check out this article by a woman doctor

True – UK medical schools are flooded with wimmin.

There are two reasons for this. Firstly, the quota – they get in even if their academic results are bad. Secondly, the educational system is so rigged against males that few now have the necessary qualifications.

Politicians also want wimmin in because they have no moral compass. They will do anything required of them, no matter how reprehensible.

With one notable exception, my experiences with wimmin medics has been bad. They can’t take the pressure, and being rote-learners, are incapable of thinking outside the box. If it isn’t in the script, they can’t cope.

Wimmin medics also want to work part-time for ‘family reasons’. The taxpayer spends millions training someone who simply isn’t there. They want the status and the generous salary, but they don’t want to do the job.

I recently had to see a consultant who turned out to be female.

I overheard her saying to the nurse that if she saw me again she ‘wanted a chaperone’. So not only was I an infidel (she was a muslim and made it quite clear that was what she thought), but a would-be rapist as well.

Perhaps next time I should exercise my right to a chaperone.

Law schools too. From the law school come the lawyers. From the lawyers come judges, legislatures, and top cabinet positions. When they say ” The future is female” there you are. Glad I won’t live to see it but I fear from my grandsons.

I’ve been concerned about the quality of healthcare for men as I get older. By the time I’m old and in need of care I fear for how I’ll be treated because I’m a man.

Prostate cancer funding and awareness versus breast cancer funding and awareness says it all. Prostate cancer is just men, so its not really important.

Breast cancer also – men get breast cancer too, but there’s nothing there for men. Testicular cancer is slightly better, but not by much.

Both pale into insignificance when compared to the resources poured into wimmins healthcare.

All men will face VA-level care or worse.

I don’t feel threatened by female doctors yet.

Wait until you try to sue one for malpractice (because she got her license through a quota, not capability) and she plays the “poor little woman” victim card.

But it’s not about any specific doctor, female or male, it’s about the impending massive shortage of doctors in general. Female medical school graduates very rarely stay in the profession longer than ten years. And Men simply aren’t applying to medical school. The end result is a huge turnover and even larger shortage of doctors in a generation.

Secondly, the educational system is so rigged against males that few now have the necessary qualifications.

Third, since obamacare and other forms of “socialized” medicine put all the profits in health care into the hands of the insurers (private and public) while heaping all the liabilities onto the heads of doctors, men sensibly don’t see the economic benefit to all the work necessary for becoming a doctor.

In other words, when tradesmen net more money than doctors (and they do) and have fewer liabilities (they do), men become tradesmen, not doctors. Women still want the title and prestige, because it’s not about the money for the sex that instinctively expects to benefit from their husbanks (hypergamy floats). This is why the vast majority of female med school graduates quit in ten years: they wanted the accolades, but never wanted to do the actual work.

When they say ” The future is female” there you are.

The future can never be female, because then there would be no future.

as the article above points out, if you want to use 2 female part time doctors to cover one full time position, that’s fine. The problem is that 2 doctors cost society twice as much to produce as 1 full time doctor. Here in the US, the tuition to a medical school only covers about 20% of the total cost of the education. The rest is paid by tax money from the state education budget.

The result: an all female doctor population will cost society the same to produce as an all male doctor population, but will produce about half the actual medical care.

You just thought healthcare was expensive…

Look, it's not my fault that tornado dropped a house on your sister. Now get back on your broom and get your ass out of here... and take your monkeys with you

I wonder if the stats get bad enough if they’ll put in affirmative action proscriptions for solving the loss of males in medicine. Quota’s for men.

As it’s all about destroying men, the answer that that has to be, never.

As an aside, the same problem has hit teaching – there are very few men applying any more. There are many schools where there are no male teachers at all.

Again the reason is twofold. Firstly, the selection process is controlled by hard-Left wimmin and a few ‘woke’ manginas. Secondly, men are seeing that it’s just far too dangerous.

As a man, right now, I really don’t want to work in any field anymore.
There are male-specific risks in every field now.
No incentive for men to apply themselves anywhere.
Now, I’m already seeing there are so many men just eeking by or not getting by at all.
I predict homeless men will become much more common in the near future and we will be seen as an annoying burden to be removed, rather than the social issue it is described as at the moment.
