I had hoped the cures for AIDS and Cancer would be discovered in my lifetime.  Seems less likely now, given that logic, impartiality and the scientific method have been thrown out in the decisions about who gets to do the research.

I recently read an article about adapting the workplace for women in tech fields, like they’re some kind of disabled. The worst thing is half of the bitches make all the other, who probably didn’t ask for s~~~ and are just doing their job, look bad.

All my profs were men while I was a student, even in the arts options we were required to take.

These biases are retarded.  I work in a STEM field, and when they open up for hiring, maybe they’ll get 500 qualified applicants for 10 jobs, and they’ll maybe interview the 50 that looked best on paper, and take the top 10 out of those.  The problem is they probably are typically looking at a split like 450 men and 50 women.  Why should they take 5 men and 5 women just for the sake of diversity when statistically based on qualified applicants they really should be taking 8-9 men and 1-2 women?

Hell I’m not opposed to it if the top 10 applicants all happened to be women, then hire all women, but mandating gender quotas and having to pass up on better candidates because they have a penis instead of a vagina is flat out stupid.

Its the same thing that goes on with colleges.  Why is it when people are applying for competitive schools whites and asians have to meet tougher standards to have a chance at getting accepted than blacks or hispanics?

If people really want equality governments and businesses should stop it with this s~~~.  Set a standard that applies to everyone…that is equality.  Equal opportunity is what should be legislated, but what is being pushed is equal results.  If equal results are being legislated, not everyone is being given an equal opportunity.
