They are reining it in down here too because too many people do stupid courses they never pay for or start work in the fields they have chosen to study.

That’s for sure. There are already a bunch of programs that end up forgiving lots of this debt.

Like limit on the percentage of income that your payments can total…….and then if you don’t get it paid off after 10 years, the loan is reduced. Which means essentially the government (us peons) pays it off. Trust me, the banks still get paid.

Most of this debt is accumulated at private colleges, the cost of a private college being about triple that of a state university. Who goes to private colleges……well, not blue collar kids for the most part.

Nice trick by the all those liberal humanitarian (wealthy) awoke folks………..getting families that make 60 thousand a year to subsidize the college costs of kids from families making 150-200 thousand a year.

The situation here in Australia is similar. Ironically, half of women studying Women’s Studies in the Humanities will never re-pay the taxpayers who – through the HECS-HELP student loan system – pay their student fees and also feed, clothe, and house them though the welfare arm known as Austudy. One thing in this respect women are doing a fantastic job of f~~~ing themselves over with is a lot of them get degrees in low paying fields. 50K in student loans if your starting off making 60-100k as an engineer, nurse, accountant, teacher(at least in my state) or something isn’t all that bad…it could be paid off in a couple years if desired. 50k a year in student loans to start off making 30k a year as as social worker or glorified babysitter working in a daycare…you just f~~~ed yourself good, and lot’s of women seem to gravitate towards those low paying degrees.

I’d advise avoiding having any kind of merged finances with women at all…but even when I was still a lot more blue pill dating one woman with significant student loans made me realize such women are absolutely toxic. C~~~ had 70k+ in debt and was making in the 30-35k a year range. Merging finances with her pretty much just meant you’d be assuming her debts. The worst part was how much of her debt only existed because she borrowed extra for “living expenses.” By “living expenses” I mean to pay for spring break trips she went on with exes and to prowl city bars for c~~~ on weekends when she was single. No f~~~ing way was I paying for some girl’s slut days lol. Well…to be fair she was still a slut, just a closer to the wall slut who had realized her best looking, highest SMV days were behind her and has probably had full on impact with the wall by now haha.

Exactly, they can have the carousel party from 18 until their 30’s when they marry a beta wallet and he pays it all off. If you think about it, the beta who finally puts a ring on it is just picking up the tab for all the Chads she f~~~ed on that 15 year long party.

My ex wife finished university with £10k of debt (nothing to what they finish with these days) and decided to take a loan out to pay it all off. Trouble is, she ended up using that loan to buy Christmas presents, go on holiday etc. so actually ended up with £20k of debt. Guess who ended up paying it all off…..
