What’s up with women and horses, AND the men that make it possible ?

I was talking with a man the other day at the gym. He’s probably late 50’s – 60 ish. Anyways, the guy has a good job, and is married. He tells me that on Christmas day his wife told him that the manure trailer was full, and of course it’s HIS job to get it emptied. Merry Christmas ?? This guy and his wife live way out in the sticks, and I’m sure the MAIN reason is because she “NEEDS” to have HORSES.

Within the past few years, a friend of mine semi-retired, but still working (retail worker), almost 60 years old. He and his wife (retail worker) relocated, and they bought and OWNED a nice trailer in a very nice retirement park. They had a nice comfortable/inexpensive lifestyle. They are not wealthy people. Anyways, their daughter, almost 30, was in a “bad” relationship with a man that owned a farm back home. So, they wanted to relocate her to be closer to them, but she wasn’t going to move unless she could take her HORSES and DOG. That made me question exactly how “bad” her relationship was, but that’s really none of my business.

The Senior Citizen parents sold their paid for mobile home, and took out a 30 year mortgage on a mobile home that needs work in the country that came with a couple few acres, and a steel barn. The daughter relocated, and is working full time to help pay the expenses, and she got ANOTHER horse as well. Now, his days are filled with Honey Do lists, and 45 minute commutes to the town that they USED to LIVE in.

I’m just throwing these stories out there, make what you want out of them.

Women love horses all the way. A love none of them will ever have for ANY man. These are the worst women when it comes to exploiting a man for his resources.

I read that article. As it turns out Horse women are more bat s~~~ crazy then your average broad !!

When that Man at the gym mentioned to me, that his wife had horses. I commented doesn’t that mean that YOU have horses ?

I was assuming that most women with horses will be about as responsible for them as they are with everything else in THEIR lives. As long as there’s at least one man around, HER problems are now HIS problems.

We have several tac shops around here and the cow-gals actually walk in to buy things on the ‘spur of the moment’ while wearing spurs. I’ve heard them jingle as they move around the store. How they can drive their dualie-pickups and pull their fourty-foot six horse capacity fifth wheel horse trailers complete with living quarters .. with spurs on their boots is beyond me. Last time I had a vet stop to inject and animal it cost me over $100 for ten minutes .. can you imagine what it costs them for horses? I don’t know what they are spending or where they are getting it .. maybe loans. I have no clue how they do it. Even if they are selling room and board for other horses, breeding animals to sell .. or giving riding lessons at a B&B ranch .. it still doesn’t seem to add up to enough profit.

A woman with horses (or any other livestock) is usually a poorer investment than becoming involved with a single mother. Unless you really like to be poorly paid farm labor.

Typically, her devotion to equines exceeds even that of her children. As a result, you end up being 10th or 12th on her priority list. Overnight in a classy hotel? Can’t do it because there’s nobody to feed the horses. And while your here at my place, do you mind fixing that broken fence over there? And when you’re done with that, how about mucking out those stalls?

Horse chicks are nuts! I have a female friend who has a horse boarding farm and she is bonkers over those damn animals. Blows all her money on them and as the OP said talks to and treats them like actual people. She has a mangina beta of a boyfriend who does pretty much all the work on the farm now plus his own job, it’s super funny to watch him scurry around picking up horse s~~~.
