Speaking of grandmothers, for all the nice stuff she did for me I can also see all the manipulative s~~~, the way she treated me, my sister, mother, uncle and my dad.

I learned All Women Are Like That at a very early age, though at first I thought it was just the women in my family. Learning that early on is probably why I’m the only one in my family who ever made something of himself.

Well here’s the thing: While it’s generally true that All Women Are Like That, some women are at least smart enough to know that being Like That will have consequences for them, and so modify their own behavior accordingly. Whores they may be, but at least some are honest whores. These self aware women are fewer and fewer every generation because the consequences have been largely hidden from younger women.

The statement AWALT is largely one of pragmatism. In an infinite universe it’s conceivable that a NAWALT unicorn really does exist somewhere, but it’s far more likely that she’s Not Like That Right Up Until You Find Out She Is Like That.
