I saw this in today’s local news:
Charges are pending against a <city> woman who reportedly left her child with a man but did not return to claim the child.
At 3:20 p.m., a <city> man reported that a woman had left her child with him and not returned, said Lt. <officer> of the <city> Police Department.
The man said the woman had come to his house with several of her friends on Friday evening and brought her 3-year-old daughter with her.
The woman asked the man if she could leave the child with him while she went to help a friend with a flat tire. The man agreed, but the woman did not return.
The man received a number of texts from the woman telling him she was on her way back. The texts continued into the morning, but the woman never returned.
The woman then stopped receiving his messages.
The man said this was the first time he had met the woman. He contacted a friend, and they went to the Law Enforcement Center to contact <city> Police.
An officer called the woman’s phone number. She answered and identified herself as the child’s mother. When asked why she did not pick up the child, the woman hung up on the officer.
The officer tried calling numerous times, but the calls were not answered.
The child is in the custody of <county> County Social Services.
If she was deranged before, she’s gone totally nuts now. No one leaves their child with a stranger. I wouldn’t do it. Why did he not have a look at her license at least?
Would YOU take a child from a complete stranger?
What about the friends? Where did they disappear?
That story stinks.Don't let them Blame, Shame or Tame you!
Give 'em NOTHING, not even an answer!
#GenderSegragationNow!Sounds like the best thing that this woman could have done was leave her child with a complete stranger.
Think about it. Would the child have a better chance with this woman or a complete stranger? She did her kid a favor.

I agree with Soldier-Medic. Some children are really better off in state custody than with their mommies.

I can tell you this
My mother abandoned me over and over again. Her s~~~ started when I was about 11-12 years old.
My school was in the country, and the arrangements were for my mother to pick me up from the school and the bus would pick me up from my house. It was a weird country thing. Many times, she would leave me at the school so long that the teachers would be leaving….it would be hours.
It essentially made me not go to school because of this.
Then she ended up loosing our house because she turned into a alcoholic drug addict. My step dad worked 3rds and took off cause he was smart and said f~~~ that.My mom eventually abandoned me for about 2 years at my uncles house, (that weird uncle that is all negative and s~~~) that messed me up a bit.
Anyways, I(m thankful for all of this because it gave me independence from needing anyone, and made me stronger today .But, I do wish someone would have reported her ass when I was a kid, so I couldve had somewhat of a normal childhood.
Ya, she was a single mom- my real dad passed away when I was 3. And she would still slander him for “beating her” I know now she was full of s~~~Women can treat children worse than animals and still retain custody. Women are far and away the biggest child abusers and the fact that our society doesn’t address this is proof that feminism is all about control of men and therefore resources and has nothing to do with improving society.
Yes, statistically the baby would be better off with a male stranger than a single woman or woman in a foster home even if a male is present.
Facts are facts.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.
Many times, she would leave me at the school so long that the teachers would be leaving….it would be hours.
This breaks my heart.
There was this one time when my son thought he was lost. He couldn’t find me but I could see him through the crowd. I was trying to teach him a lesson about staying close to me. I will always remember the look on his face, a mix of fear, sadness and disappointment. It was like his whole world had crumbled and he was in tears.
I saw that face again in my mind when reading your reply. The answer is NO. “I could but I won’t”. Memini murum!
John,
Yes it sucked to the highest. But Im a INTJ so I bounce back fairly well.
It instilled in me to always be on time, usually early.
Im always faithful to my word.THese are the things I learned from her, I used to think she was great and kind. But now that Im older and wiser, I see now for the truth.
There was speculation that she set up a murder on my dad to make it look as if it was a suicide. My grandmother “dads mom” was prettty dead certain that he wouldve never killed himself.I brought all this up for people to see Im very objectively purposed, and want others to not be blinded by blood.
THinking of situations now……….my mom really sucked. I remember her letting me go out at 10 years old with a shotgun to go hunting….by myself.
Maybe she was hoping for an “accident”?In the past, before there was abortion, abandonment of babies was a way for a woman to not have to be a mother. Orphanages came about, in part, because of this. If you recall old movies of babies being left at doorsteps, that was part of it.
I guess it is so rare now, that a single instance of a woman doing this becomes a news item.
I had been looking up the term “orphan” in the Bible, and I see it sometimes gets translated “fatherless”. In short, one view is that a child without a father is considered an orphan. There may be a lesson in there somewhere.
