Carol Stone might have expected an anniversary bash. At the very least, a “Happy anniversary, honey!” from her husband.

But when he forgot to acknowledge their wedding anniversary, Pasco County deputies say Stone bashed him — by smacking him multiple times in his head and face, leaving him marked with scratches, and pushing him to the ground.

Stone, 35, was arrested and charged with domestic battery on Wednesday by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. She was booked into Land O’ Lakes Detention Center in Central Florida and held on a $150 bond.

Ronnie William Alexander, 41, recorded the incident on his cellphone, Land O’ Lakes Patch reported, and showed the video of Stone allegedly hitting him to deputies. The couple have a 3-month-old son and it is unclear how long they have been married.

I don’t like thinking of men as victims, but violence against men is a big problem.

I got serious beatings from my ex wife for much smaller transgressions. For saying something in my sleep, for example. Or for looking a particular way.

She gave me black eyes and then let her put make up on my eye to cover it up so no-one at work would ask awkward questions.

Once she beat me with a wooden hairbrush so hard that she destroyed the hairbrush.

If I had done something as bad as forget an anniversary, I honestly think I would have been stabbed. She threatened me with knives multiple times.

I never reported her to the police, so she got away scot free–I’m just glad to have escaped safely and now happy to let sleeping dogs lie.

Her threat was always, if I dared report her, she would just say that I was beating her up. She even taunted me: who do you think they’re going to believe, you or me?

I used to buy anniversary gifts for my then wife. She would suspect something secret and sneaky, and then accuse me of f~~~ing one of the neighbors, or a sister, then she would go through my things when I wasn’t around and find the gift or card a week before the date, and just rip into me.

This year would be our 20th anniversary. I don’t think we would have made it this far together living under one roof, she would have killed me in my sleep, and buried me in the backyard, probably under the same damn tree where I was going to burn myself.

Man, I have been there. My ex wife and I went through this whole ridiculous charade where she engineered some “surprise” from me. She liked the idea of a “surprise” gift, because she thought it was “romantic”, but she was such a psychopathic and paranoid control freak that she couldn’t bare the idea of an actual surprise, so she would kind of decide on the surprise herself and then we’d both pretend to forget about it so it would be a “surprise”. But then after the event she would start complaining that I didn’t do a proper surprise. So I would try to sneak around, planning something, and she’d get mad, and go on and on until I’d end up revealing the surprise. And then the cycle would begin again.

Whenever a woman would try to “get to know me” and cuddle like a cat, I would ask myself “Would I be able to stand her for at least 20 years?”

The answer was always “no”.
