Will I ever see in my lifetime men being shamed for wanting to get married.

A man announces to his friends that he is getting married, a big church affair with the line of groomsmen, a best man and he needs the get away car decorated.

Will there be a day when his friends tell him no, they do not want to be part of his implosion, and they don’t want to encourage that sort of thing in their town.

Every wedding I ever attended, took part in, helped in any way has gone down in flames, with my own marriage lasting the longest at 10.5 years. Most implode after 3 a couple made it to 5, one made it to 7.

What if it was socially frowned upon for a man to marry a woman? I know, seems far fetched. ten years ago, gay marriage was thought to be impossible, or this stupidity of marrying one’s self.

What if marriage was illegal, or not a ceremony sanctioned by the church? Suppose the church was eliminated. I will have to do a little research. One of the first things the Bolsheviks did in Russia was f~~~ around with marriage…memory fuzzy here…easy to dissolve marriages…no fault…not sure here the Russian Studies courses didn’t really focus on this much, but I know this program did not last long due to the disastrous results. They did their best to eliminate the Church, but that never went completely away. I think it was to break up marriages between one spouse favoring Imperialism, and was going to be shot/sent to gulag and the other spouse embracing Marxism-Leninism.

I think this was before the NEP, pre 1923, but after the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk ending the participation in WWI.

I have this vision of a very near future when most marriages will come as a marriage/divorce ? package. The cost of both would be included!

So.. men at that point would have to pretty much sign away their life ..cost wise! It Might make them reconsider marriage twice!

I was not joking, the state of marriage is quickly becoming obsolete, it’s just too much of a heartbreaking experience. Tons of expectations that end up in a financial / emotional nightmare 50% of the time.

To me it is where it’s headed! Someone is bound to start offering that type of package. Look where we are like 50% end up divorcing. If I were a businessman I sure would start offering that concept!

In your lifetime, I seriously doubt it. Marriage nowadays is a C~~~’s spare tire, encouraged by a sick society and mitigated by Government Courts. The whores won’t let that go, ever.

On the other hand, it’s up to us men to save every wide-eyed youth from The Plantation but Shaming isn’t the answer.
