A cautionary tale for anyone thinking about marriage.

“The hitman asks about Mike Ryan’s new, 19-year-old girlfriend. “If she’s in the way, is that a problem?” Nicole shakes her head, no.

She was at least partially motivated by his money. Never discuss finances with a woman. Never let a woman know about your assets or net worth or net income. Making a woman privy to this information could get you killed.

It shouldn’t shock us, but when the highest courts in the land say, flat out, without any confusion, “hey man, your life is worth nothing”, it grates. Just a little.

Have you guys ever seen I Love You to Death? It’s a film about a woman who keeps trying to kill her husband. The premise doesn’t sound too shocking when it’s there in black and white – until you learn that it’s a comedy.

And incredibly, it was based on a real-life couple. A woman made several attempts to murder her husband after he had an affair, but each one failed. As if that wasn’t f~~~ed up enough, they are still together. The man ended up taking total responsibility for what went wrong in their relationship, so they tried again. And now, apparently, they’re happy.

Wouldn’t surprise me if a movie was made about this situation as well. And that, too, will be a comedy. Of course if a man ever tries to kill his wife, that’s instantly a horror movie, but the opposite situation is always a laugh.

But in March 2010, Justice David Farrar of the Nova Scotia Supreme Court decided: “I have no difficulty in finding that Mr. Ryan (potential victim of crime) was an abusive and manipulative individual,” adding that “the one person that could have rebutted all of these accusations…was Mr. Ryan himself…However, he never gave evidence.”

These so called judges aren’t really ones with backbones – I guess to rise in their line of work one must kiss feminist asses and in some secret chamber vow to never punish women. Or if they do – only a slap on the wrist.
