I am sure her calculating the time lost on “her career” is the exact same calculation that happens with all of those girls on backpages asking for “donations” for their time. Yep, they’d probably be writing code or working on astrophysics problems if they weren’t escorting, I’m sure.

Seriously, this sort of hit home for me since I have contemplated my career, which isn’t that great, and have realized that it’s not really worth it for me to bust my ass outside the home making more money. I mean, my kids are comfortable enough as is, my in-laws help out, and my wife could probably pull more anyway if she weren’t at home raising the kids most of the time (but I am here a lot too and do a lot of stuff around the house). It’s a zero-sum game. I wonder how many men are making this calculation: if I work a bunch and make bank, my wife will somehow find out that I am “neglecting her” and “she’s not happy” (surprise surprise!) so take the opportunity to just take half (or more) and cash out. What’s my incentive to work harder at this point? I’ll just hang with my kids and wait for my wife to get her career going again, and then I’ll see.

This feels a little like, “divorce insurance”, but it’s probably not going to work.

I recently came across this wife bonus thing and it was suggested by… HER FATHER!?!

I pay for everything, joint bank account, cars, fuel, bills, meals, birthday gifts for her, her friends, her family… everything. She doesn’t want a career even though her daddy paid for her degree level education.

The extra monthly bonus as HE suggests is for my wife to spend on extra “treats” however she decides. This is in addition to the treats she already uses our joint bank account to buy for herself?!?

What gets me most about this staggering stupidity is that it is being suggested to me by another man??!

Im trying to keep calm, I really am, but if he suggested that to me face to face I would have flying headbutted him into next week. Jesus Christ you know it’s broken when a man starts suggesting this kind of crap. A man!! Oh f~~~…

How do you know he said this, was it over the phone, text, etc. Just looking into some insight here, some of the puzzle needs to be filled in.

Tell him, “if she needs anything else I am sure you can give her the money for it since I pay for everything else, I mean she is your daughter and you do love her dont you.”  Guilt trip the living hell outta that mangina dbag.

I have gone my own way with regards to feminism bulls~~~ and have fought it all through my teens, 20’s and now my 30’s. I wanted a son badly (yes selfish I know) so I went ahead and got married and got my son. I still don’t accept any crap from her and I’m preparing a plan to leave when she goes full bananas.

I can see your point though, for me it’s more important to be here talking with you guys than to argue if I should even be here or not. If I had found his site sooner instead of feeling like a social outcast then I wouldn’t have been so stupid / selfish / arrogant to get married and reproduce. That’s done now and can’t be changed so I’m here for advice and support and if I can help just one guy out in return then it is worth it for me.
