Growing up, I had never heard of a tropical depression until science class. Now we have a depression forming, isn’t a storm yet but is life threatening and catastrophic. Is there any end to our fear of everything as a society today?
Has the 24/7 news cycle made us a bunch of quivering cave men again?
Every storm is life threatening. I guess I am just frustrated that this is such a big topic… maybe I am just dehydrated this morning.
No longer can we walk away, we must run. Remove the motive power.
Well, I can say that political storms, like the Kavanaugh appointment are used by politician to push their agenda. All the studies in the world tell what the facts are but one personal case of disaster and the politicians come out like c~~~roaches and try to gain advantage from it.

Every storm is life threatening. I guess I am just frustrated that this is such a big topic… maybe I am just dehydrated this morning.Well it’s not that men actually are scared, it’s that media fud gets more views than anything else. If the media can convince people that a scary storm is coming, they’ll keep tuning in to the news to watch it.
Murph ~ There is nothing brave or manly about entering into a contract with somebody which allows them to take your money, assets, children, and decades of your future income on a mere whim.
I have come to the conclusion that if the media continually broadcasts any form of insecurity long enough, some brainwave will find a way to make it a gender issue. Because, as you know, the weather is sexist. Weather affects females worse, which is why they tried feminists snow removal in that s~~~hole country.
Why are all the really destructive storms named after whimyn? PATRIARCHY!

Stockholm defends ‘gender-equal’ snow-clearing
Men are statistically more likely to be drivers, while women are more likely to use pavements, cycle paths, and public transport.
But on Thursday and Friday, the policy came under renewed criticism after the city was thrown into chaos by the unusually heavy snow dump, with buses and trains cancelled, and major motorways blocked.
The policy’s apparent failure was celebrated with glee by anti-feminists

That’s pretty hilarious, Puffin !
Read Michael Chrichton’s State of Fear. Plenty of footnotes in it that show how the government has to find newer and better ways of keeping the citizenry in a perpetual state of fear and more dependent on government to keep them safe. The constant “Stormageddon” mantra, with each new storm on the horizon having the potential to cause death and destruction, is a perfect tool for this. The media is more then willing to perpetuate the ideas and keep said citizenry on the edges of their seats while showing commercials for viagra and diet Coke to make money.
An educated, armed populace cannot be enslaved.

Nailed it. That’s a great book with a s~~~ ton of references basically destroying the climate change agenda.
When women lead, destruction is the destination. -- Me.

Anonymous3Its twofold. First, as others said, its a government plot to make people afraid and dependent. Women are especially vulnerable to this tactic.
But there is also climate change. If it is man made or natural, that is a whole different discussion. And climate change does not translate to “global warming”, that is just a simplistic illusion.
What happens is that the “earth system” receives more energy, therefore all climatic events get increasingly stronger. Floods are bigger, hurricanes are more powerful, draughts last longer, cold weather gets colder, and hot weather gets hotter.I think climate change is a good thing, because mankind has decayed under this comfy stable climate and the easy life provided by this civilization.
Mother earth is a bitch. And like all bitches, she will frequently redecorate the place. Get ready for some changes.

Anonymous3As for climate change being real, I cannot ignore what happens in front of me. Its the advantage of living in an island. We used to have a very regular weather pattern, and that has been changing, and now is now totally different.
Being almost 50 allows me to see these changes. In 1984 I was the “conspiracy theorist” for claiming the weather was changing. That was before it became mainstream.
And when it became mainstream it was said that it was going on for 20 years! Despite the fact that meteorologists used to say nothing was wrong immediately before the first IPCC report. This stuff is all manipulated.
I understand that some people doubt the “climate change” idea based on what agendas have been promoted on account of it. But one thing is the political and economic interests, the other is reality.
As for the agendas, they are useless to stop climate change. It has already happened and cannot be reversed. We simply do not have the power to do anything about it.
You cannot negotiate reality. You can dress up as you want, but it still going to hit you.
Create panic. Go buy s~~~ from Home Depot you don’t need and then rent a place to store it all in for the next time just in case.
Peace is > piece.

Yes.
I started noticing the changes many years ago.
Climate change is real, of that there can be no doubt. What is not immediately obvious is the cause. The government and it’s stooges go to great lengths to confuse cause and effect.
Government would have us believe that it’s ‘our’ fault, but that won’t wash.
Researching this, it becomes obvious that it is in fact a natural cycle (I’m not saying that the human race isn’t ruining the planet, just that it’s not responsible for this). The government knows this and that something big (a pole shift seems the most likely candidate), is in the offing.
Odd that their ‘solutions’ invariably mean more taxes and more big government, but big business – the biggest polluter of all – never seems to be in the crosshairs.
They are using a bogus narrative in order to avoid panic. That they can enrich themselves at the same time is a bonus.
And when 2” of snow is forecasted, Oh Gah! It’s utter panic and pandemonium the media fuels. The state deploys enough salt trucks and de-icing chemicals to dissolve stainless steel, Businesses close because employees are too scared to leave home, and I just get out there and have fun with traction control.

I find it odd that when I was school, the scientific method was heavily pushed. That being that you come out with a hypothesis, test the hypothesis repeatedly, and then you find out whether it’s true or not. It seems that now it’s a matter of “extrapolate your findings to the past and/or future, then run a publicity campaign to push a political agenda and fund further research.
We put way too much faith in extrapolation as far as I’m concerned. We seem to be unwilling to accept that we don’t know and we may not have the capability of finding it out.

Big business is just a cog in the wheel. The second it becomes cheaper to use alternative sources, big business will jump on it.
Ok. Then do it.
Models are what gives the scientists the ability to forecast future weather patterns. Because this is new and no one knows what is causing it, predicting the direction of change becomes impossible.
Best to grab a warm coat and some sunscreen.

Every time they close the office, I am already there. People have forgotten so much, and dont realize they can actually do things even though it is snowing.

Naw. Men don’t watch the news. It’s produced for women.
Seriously, check the ratings demographics.
Once you know that, the fake news cycle makes a lot more sense.
As for climate change being real,
Ask a wooly mammoth about climate change.
Climates change. The so-called fertile crescent is a s~~~hole today. Egypt used to be more than a single river valley. And so on.
If humans are causing climates to change today, it isn’t because of fossil fuel use or carbon emissions. Those are just symptoms.
No, it’s caused by women having children they are not able to feed and the Earth is unable to support. But do we hold those women accountable for their selfishness? No. We give them monthly checks to have even more children.
Like so many evils in the world today, if we cut off the welfare, the problem goes away all on it own.

Best to grab a warm coat and some sunscreen.Right, but is that science?
Ok. Then do it.
Drama sells.
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.
It has to be dramatic. . .
Climate change agenda needs more traction.
