So yes, it’s true the guy wants to get laid, but i feel a lot of these men are also hoping that it will secure her approval, and loyalty … two things that at BEST, are temporary.

On the other end of the spectrum, the female is hoping for a nice rock she can show off to her friends, before promptly selling it off whenever things go sour, or she decides to dump the man. Obviously they are wanting the most expensive rock, with the idea in mind they are going to re-sell it someday.

As to how men allowed themselves to fall in this trap, on a multinational level, spanning for many decades … is beyond my comprehension.

I agree. Analog is a continuous wave form versus digital which is a collection of samples put together.

If you read up on Nyquist theory, I believe it suggests somewhere that once digital audio gets to 32 bit that most people won’t be able to tell the difference between digital and analog.

This is not happening anytime soon as radio broadcasts in FM/AM which are both inferior quality. Internet radio broadcasts in 64k or less usually and CDs (CDA format) is 16bit 44,100hz (44.1khz). I believe the Sony mini disks from a couple decades ago were 24bit but they are discontinued. Other than that, I’m not sure what other formats are readily available unless you digitally sample your vinyl by yourself and store them as 32bit 96,000hz wav or flac files. I don’t think these files will play on most portable players though.

Sorry, I know this info was unsolicited, just felt like blabbing.
