What goes with sunny beaches, warm tropical waters and sand? That’s right sandy vaginas ! Jokes and all aside but f~~~ that.

Nope what you want is water that’s just above freezing somewhere that looks something like this just down the road from me.

    My back yard :).

Why ? Well because (number pulled out my ass but also from observation) you mostly find people diving like this are almost all male maybe 90% + and for some good reasons.

    1. Your kit might sometimes look like this and while it can make some men smile how many women do you know that want to even go near something like that in the name of fun and adventure ?

    2. Everyone looks like some variation of this. Its kinda hard to act all sexy when your diving.

    3. You cant nag someone underwater.

    4. Everyone irrelevant of gender has snot pouring out their nose all over there face post dive. Just another amusement amongst us diving blokes really.

    5. Its cold. They dont like that do they rofl. I love the cold I makes me feel alive.

Just a handful of reasons with tons more gone unmentioned but you get the picture.

Ow here’s a pic of where I was diving a few days ago. Its bliss man I cant even begin to tell you how great it is.

I look around at my fellow divers and I never see more happy guys all chilling out together talking about the new technical gear that their saving up for or the new place they are getting away to. Honestly Its bliss.

The few women that dive regularly in these conditions are normally hard as nails, down to earth and at least not stupid. The chances of one spoiling my day seems to be very very low.

So yea just wanted to share with you guys a sport I love. Its worth checking out.

PS Sorry its not all one post for some reason it wont let me post the whole thing in one go. Derp

    Exactly 🙂

I’m not even jealous. Nah not me. Diving in shorts and t-shirts bah

    I hate you.

Lolz but really would you go again ? I try to get away to warm waters once a year and have been thinking of Thailand. Derp i just worked out you went to Koh Tao lolz . Any shore diving or is everything boat diving ? Also do they force a guide on you all the time or can you find some freedom ?

Edit: Did you see any whale sharks ? I have never seen one and I hear its a great place for them.

Yeah, diving in shorts and t shirt is nice.

Its my 3rd trip to thailand but likely my last, its becoming a bit expensive and a bit of a rip off in places but the diving is good.

No, I have never seen a whale shark but lots of other types of shark on my travels. If you want sharks south africa is ground zero, big and lots of them.

Its all boat diving and follow the leader stuff here, I think it is the law. They don’t want people wandering off and possibly damaging some coral or f~~~ing about with any of the sea life.

Yep you have some good diving spots right there 🙂 and that club seems to be very much into the tec side of diving. If you learn to dive in those kind of conditions you will feel literally feel like a fish if you ever dive in shorts and t-shirt. Cold diving makes for very proficient divers in general..

In our shrinking world if you want to really explore then look no further than the oceans 🙂 .

I mean I would rather be an astronaut but I’m to old and lack the smarts for it. Doh but this is a dam good second place. Being 40m down in the black of night is the closest I can get to a space walk. Rofl well in my mind anyway.

Few things fill me with such a mix of dread and wonder as being out on a boat in the middle of the ocean at night.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

Absolutely, night dives are the best especially wreck night dives. Its just like exploring an alien space craft.

I love sailing too, buying a boat and f~~~ing off is just about the only way to go off grid if you are in Europe. We just don’t have the wide open wilderness areas you have in the US.

I dont know how to sail (yet) but its a dream of mine. The freedom must be epic living in your own home that you can take anywhere you want.

By the time I have the money for the boat I hope Satellite tech comes down in price and gets a hell of alot better. http://www.groundcontrol.com/maritime_satellite_internet.htm

Seems a bit crap still and I don’t want to be without a connection. for long periods tbh.

Spacemonkeys right we have zero wilderness compared to the US so the Oceans what some of us turn to.
