Why Are Office Thermostats Sexist?

[My old office was 72-4 year ’round. The real answer is women are in light summer frocks with open backs and scoop necklines, and the men are stuffed into business suits.
By the way, Facilities Maintenance installed fake thermostats around the place so we could diddle with them. It made us feel empowered.

Thankfully I work in an office with men only.

I’ve had struggles in the past with women turning airconditioning to maximum heat trying to kill me and my colleagues.

Somehow women are always cold and us men have to pay the price for it because we had a mangina manager that was white knighting the female office employees. After 17:00 we opened up some windows… God, the horror.

This one time we sabotaged the AC’s by simply unplugging them. Took the weemen three days to find out LOL!

The disparity we see in everyone’s “body thermostat” is a matter of physiology and body fat is a big factor but the video comes to exactly the wrong conclusion. A skinny women will be the one freezing while the fat guy in the next office is sweating bullets. Conversely, a skinny man will more likely be cold while a fat women is sweating it out in the same environment.

The issue comes down to who gets to set the thermostat. When I was in the HVAC business we used to refer to this problem as the “tyranny of the thermostat” in an office setting. I can’t tell you have many thermostat guards I installed in offices where the group would fight over the temperature settings all the time. The solution for the boss would usually be to lock the thermostat up behind a cover that denied access to the employees.

In almost every case though the complaints could be reliably predicted by making a cursory check of the body fat on the person who had control of the thermostat setting. Fat people in charge of the thermostat will freeze the skinny out and the skinny in charge will roast the fat people.

As I said previously anything that isn’t the way they think it should be is now “sexist”. That’s how stupid they are.

It has to do with women being so generally unhealthy and with poor circulation.

What is it that women do?
1. They don’t exercise as often or as intensely.
2. They eat unhealthily
3. They smoke more
4. Increased fat = poorer circulation
5. It’s not “their” fault

Ever wonder why women always have cold hands? This is it ^^.

Also, yes, fat is an insulator, but it only slows the inevitable.

This Brings back some memories. Last year in one of my Sociology tutorials the girls were complaining about how the aircon in offices is ‘sexist’. I refuted it by saying that it’s turned low because men generally wear suits all year round. I know this because I have a friend who works in an office job, as well as my uncle, they both wear suits, for the entire day. The point that the feminists in the group made in effort to counter was that men wear suits because they always have more important jobs in corporate office buildings, but I disagree, as I said, I have a friend who works in an office, and he isn’t that high in the employee line, in fact, I think he’s one of the many workers who sits at a computer and does the lower grade work. They then said that it’s because men prefer to wear suits, well, no s~~~, probably because they want to be recognized not only as an efficient worker, but one who looks constantly professional. In the end, the tutor moved the discussion away, as there was a grinding stalemate in the air between myself and about 10 feminist women and a mangina, while the rest of the class sat and said nothing.
