So why is she so popular? My theory is that her fan base is lonely and sexually frustrated, (the women that I know, who like amy schumer are either lonely and/or sexually frustrated). There loneliness and at times perverted. Which is showing signs of sexually frustrated women. All of them seem to show one or both of these traits.

The media now just tell people that certain entertainers are popular and write fictional stories about them.

It’s all hype, I’m not saying she doesn’t have fans but I think it’s hugely exaggerated.

She’s certainly not doing female comedians any favours. Few years ago, female comedians started to get a lot more attention, with Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph and Kristin Wiig demonstrating some flair. I lost respect for Wiig after she signed on to do the Ghostbusters reboot, but occasionally saw Fey and Rudolph on Saturday Night Live and thought that they were OK. Nothing groundbreaking, but funnier than female comedians before them had been. Where credit’s due, Rudolph has a talent for impressions; she does the most remarkable Gwen Stefani one that I’ve ever heard. And if there was anything noteworthy about them, it was the fact that they managed to be get a chuckle without resorting to dick, rape or sex jokes.

Schumer has set that battle right back to square one. I don’t feel that women will ever be as funny as men, but they were just stating to improve slightly, and have now screwed themselves over by supporting a woman who represents some of the worst levels of comedy. And don’t worry, they sure will blame men for it.

If anyone’s interested, Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are now writing a “comedy” together. Oh man that’ll be s~~~.

I think Schumer’s “popularity” is near its end and she’ll be doing a double bill with Carlos Mencia at the Spittoon Saloon’s $5 buffet stage in Reno in a few months.

The only funny woman in standup comedy is Maria Bamford and only because she does silly voices. There is no distant second.

Because she’s gross and that’s not a joke. There was a time when you needed TALENT, could dance, act, sing…. in order to be famous and popular. Now you can just be disgusting and fugly.

I checked out one vid of hers and her second line in is “My mom’s a c~~~. Here me out”.

You don’t open a comedy set with “c~~~”. You use it when you need it. But “c~~~” is a fashion statement now and it made the cover of Vanity Fair.

Kathy Griffin, Tina Fay, Any Schumer and that ilk actually enjoy looking ill-tempered and brackish. They think it “empowers” them and makes them look interesting, but they aren’t. That’s why she’s as sarcastic as often as f~~~ing possible.
