The campaign promise was “America will build the wall and Mexico will pay for it”. So, who is going to pay for the continued upkeep of the wall? Or is it possible to build a wall that doesn’t need upkeep paid for it, or that you cover it with solar panels that will generate electricity that can be sold?

How exactly does the wall not become an ongoing expense item for the U.S government to have to pay for?

Seriously, dude, chill the f~~~ out
Countries have borders and walls. Deal with it
Illegal immigration and trafficking costs a lot more than upkeep for a wall.
How will Mexico pay for it? I’m not sure. Maybe with tariffs after NAFTA is renegged, or by tax on remittances. Who knows?

The campaign promise is that Mexico will pay for it. I am curious what exactly does that mean. There is also other ways to do border security than a wall.

If you heard what you are calling a promise that Mexico will pay for it, then I guess the current plan is that Mexico will pay for it.
Why are you asking now if the wall hasn’t even been built yet?
Are you only looking for an excuse to criticize Trump for merely making what you’ve determined is a promise?
    Are you Mexico?
What’s you’re beef at this particular time?

It had been on my mind, and I saw an article on prototypes being built. I saw that the ongoing expense was never discussed, and I figured I would ask. It isn’t a beef. I am curious about it. The promise was Mexico would pay for it, but is this now or ongoing? I figured I would see if anyone would know here.

It’s not a bad question. I have yet to even remotely understand why the men here get so p~~~ed off in the political corner. Why do they come into political corner and then start going off on OPs for raising political questions. It’s f~~~ing beyond me. Totally illogical and out of line, in my opinion.

I personally think it’s a silly project. I’d rather see military with high tech drones and early detection systems protecting borders rather than an actual brick and mortar wall. I think it’s meant to be more of a symbol than a functional way to protect your border. But I’m no border patrol expert.

Opinions tend to not be logical. What I have seen happen around the MGTOWsphere is groupthink develop regarding issues, as will happen when there is an attempt to have group meaning. I had, months ago, went flat anti-Trump on here, mainly due to my concerns of his authoritarian tendencies, that I have issue with, and I left over the groupthink about it. I figured I would come back again and just post things and get a pulse on things. I personally find groupthink to be opposed to myself going my way, and I took “MGTOW” to end up meaning men going their own way, and that they referenced to each men. I get the impression some interpret “they” as they collectively. The original MGTOW Manifesto seems to have this also:
    ‘MGTOW manifesto’

It went off in its own direction. What I personally don’t need is anyone telling me what I hold or think, and certainly don’t need anyone to tell me what the hell the party line is regarding anyone. I hold my own opinions, and need to try to survive and prosper in a world that has no use for men who won’t marry up and make families, outside of fodder to go die in wars, and vessels to extract cash from, as part of some other political group.

Anyhow, just my 2 cents, but to each man his own.

I would be interested in seeing what the best way to secure the border would be, particularly without going “papers please” with law abiding citizens. I don’t know too many border experts who think an entire wall across the entire border makes sense, but it seems some are overly hung up about there literally being a border wall. What I understand is most people in America are here due to overextending their Visas.

Soviet Union had very long borders, and there was no problem protecting them. Although it must had been much harder, because not only they had to protect from incursions, they also had to prevent locals fleeing. It was done low tech – pretty usual stuff – patrolling areas, reconnaissance flights, checkpoints in bordering towns. In more populated areas – no go zones with landmines, barbed wire, dogs, anti-vehicle barriers, armed patrol and lookout towers. The idea that you can’t protect Mexico border because it’s too long – is ludicrous

Wouldn’t a “burning river of gas” just be cheaper? Besides, who would actually take vacation time to go on a trip to see that thing? “Come see the worlds… not longest, not tallest wall.” A burning river of gas… That just spells tourist attraction. Could even make wagers on if someone could get across or not. 😛

A good bit of Mexico’s economy runs off of money that is made over here and then sent back “home”. All we gotta do is tax those remittances before they leave, and we’ll have our money. Tax it at 4 or 5%, hell get greedy and tax it at 10%. There was never going to be a check written out. Think about it, when you get your paycheck, it says “taxes withheld”. That means you paid your taxes through your paycheck.

You didn’t have to write a check to pay your taxes, it was taken off the top of your paycheck and what is left, goes to you. So all we have to do is tax those remittances and take our money off the top, problem solved. Or, we could cut remittances completely and force Mexico to come to the table. They need us way more than we need them.

Venom answered the “payment” issue, and that can apply to maintenance as well as building.

IGMOW, The reason I was hard on you for your question was included in my answer and inquiry.

I think building a giant wall is sort of stupid, too, but it will certainly be a lasting solution to the problem that, otherwise, may never go away.

I also feel that a giant wall on our border would be seen as Trump’s “mark” on his presidency, that would be difficult and expensive for any future administration to remove.
Take that any way you want.

Mexicans, and citizens of other countries have a pretty easy way of gaining comparable wealth from the US, simply by crossing over, collecting money and sending it back.
Our countries current policy does little to nothing to prevent it from happening and often encourages it to get worse.
When a new Congress and or President come into power, the policies can become even weaker, regarding protecting our borders and economy.

Regarding comparing our border and security to the former USSR’s,
is that we try to capture and arrest one-way border crossers, without creating any politically-incorrect friction.
The Russkies would shoot to kill anyone trying to cross, thus creating a much bigger disincentive to make the attempt.

I’m more concerned about who continues to pay the billions in funding the welfare queens “bombquiesha and Ta’neisha” section 8 housing, food stamps, and free healthcare to raise terrorist . It amazes me how a idea for border protection is scrutinized for cost but yet we don’t blink an eye for generational entitlements. Time to prioritize our issues, border wall funding doesn’t even make the first page.

Never lose sight of what brought you here.

It’s pretty simple, force American white women to actually pay their taxes. Before you know it the wall becomes extremely inexpensive.

    Who cares?

They are already spending billions in feminist, welfare, and useless programs, a wall need workers and men are workers, the Wall is good for men.

The wall also needs maintenance, that means work, that means MEN.

Who gives a s~~~ who pays for it? USA has 20 trillions in debt already, what do they build with all that money?

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

It’s all just hypothetical anyway. The chances of that wall ever being built are about equal to Trump serving 2 full terms. In other words, pretty f~~~ing slim chances.

Just load all the debris from here in the rustbelt onto freight trains and dump it along the border!

They’ll need oxygen to climb over it!

USA has 20 trillions in debt already, what do they build with all that money?

They build generational debt slavery, they steal from the future, they’ve been doing so since December 23, 1913 then they formed the private institution they named the Federal Reserve Bank, to make matters worse they unlike other private businesses operate in autonomy by never being audited and answerable to no one!

The only problem is yesterday’s future is upon us, they own everything under the sun and expect you to pay for it with the money they print to dilute the world’s intrinsic value from a time that the money had the same solid trust as silver and gold.

There’s only a few hundred of them, perhaps a thousand. We’re now multitudes at the gate with the look of anger in our eyes.

They can’t run, they can’t hide, eventually they will be hunted down and their bloodline abolished by the multitudes they denied a future of freedom and prosperity.

There’s a damn good reason I’m learning to supply myself with a sustainable food supply and lifestyle.

I’m one of the first to go over the waterfall of destruction, they put me here and I will never forgive them, if given the opportunity I would exterminate them for the parasites they are.

Taxes now mean taken for a ride and left out in the cold.

The medical industry is next in line, it’s gonna become known as the blood belt, where economics and mishandling of responsibility will decide if you live or die.

Feminism and the hive was used to grease our wheels to destruction.

It happened in Venezuela and it’s in fact happening here.

USA has many forms of geo-judicial-political cancer and is in fact, dying.
